Hypothetically, if Aamir had starred in this movie, BOI would be saying how Sanjay Dutt and Raju Hirani are the true stars of this movie and the Aamir factor has not contributed anything apart from perhaps 5-10% in the opening.

This isn't the 1st time BOI having Orgasms for Ranbir, pre-besharam release, they even predicted that film will broke 3 idiots Record & opening will be more than ETT 😆

BOI is now going way way way out of order, telling Hirani films didn't worked in north before, which is clearly indirectly saying Aamir Khan as Hero is nothing big in North? 3 Idiots / Pk were driven by Mumbai, South, West audience mainly??/

3 Circuits if we consider = Delhi/UP - East Punjab - Rajasthan

Dangal = 144 Cr

PK = 118 Cr

More or less both are same as Dangal had Tax Exemption benefit, but Aamir films doing 100+ Cr in NORTH Region is more than enough to consider that Hirani films have done BIG in North also, yes Mumbai was Phenomenal with both Dangal/PK crossing 100 cr alone in Mumbai Circuit, but that is the Biggest Circuit for every film, major contribution do come from that region.

Opening do decide bigger Star pull in which Brand Hirani is bigger than Brand Aamir when u see 1st Day, weekend & week figures... but saying Ranbir Kapoor has bigger pull than Aamir in north, bhai itna bash toh main bhi nahi kar sakta =)) 🤣

The huge numbers in the North are due to Ranbir Kapoor as would not have come with any other actor in this film. No doubt a good Salman Khan action film can go higher but in a Mumbai based film even a Salman Khan could struggle to give these sort of numbers.
