I was absolutely disgusted to see how Chachi stole some ornaments from the Oberoi Mansion and stuffed them in her bag. She was claiming to be Khandaani in the rain and made poor by the likes of manhoos Annika and her family. My blood boils at the sight of her, strong enough to reach for the FF button. Her toothy grin, blood red lipstick and large bulgy eyes looks quite garish. Also, she reminded me of an OTT version of Kashaf's father's second wife from ZGH, albeit a louder one.
But this woman spells trouble for Annika, but as noisy and irritating and petty as she is, Sahil, Gauri and Annika have her firmly in her corner. Annika shut her up quite nicely and went to return the ornaments when she had to meet one and only, Beast Singh Oberoi again.
Caught like a deer in headlights, she was stunned as he threw accusations one after another. Loud enough for OmRu, Priyanka and Dadi to appear. They watched as he accused and she weakly registered a protest.
To my delight, Priyanka spoke firmly against her brother. He calls her naive, to trust a person she knew for 2 days, Rudra agreeing just broke my heart. But Om's silence gives me hope. Dadi let them stay to support Priyanka, but it wasn't without some prejudice. Dadi thinks having having poverty stricken girls around her 3 rich grandsons isn't a good idea. After what happened to Shakti.
I hope there's a story for Shakti finally , please !
Khanna knows what happened to Pinky and Shakti ! Dadi has kept him in confidence so he can watch over Shivaay. Wonder how this info will come in to use. Apparently Shakti was manipulated by a gold digger woman into an affair (I just hope its not return of Kamini), infidelity poisoned Pinky and Shakti's relationship to the point of their death. That's the mystery of IBRedux. You just know Annika's mom is involved in there somehow. Prove me wrong CVs please.
Shivaay tore into her, berating her for remaining there after all the insults. Needlesslyl cruel he was, but it struck a chord. Annika sought refuge in a dark corner.
She always cries in private, its how he releases the pressure and pain of her unhappy life. When done, she wipes her face and puts back on her strong face. Shivaay too cries in private, because the story of his parents' death colors all of his waking hours, his rage refuses to allow him to seek happiness. Nobody is allowed into this area of pain he has.
But he stumbled into that area of Annika's. As she let go of her pain through her tears, her pretty face crumpled, and the full picture of how miserable she really is, was laid out to see.
Seeing that, (plus her tears always did things to him) he felt a twinge of guilt. He didn't realize she had her own misery to deal with, and he was needlessly cruel out there. Why? Because he was unnerved since the first time he looked into her eyes, under that red dupatta. What is it about her eyes? Why do they make me feel this way?
He watched her cry silently, feeling like an intruder, but drawn to her pain anyway. What could she be so miserable about? Then Khanna interrupts, and Annika is aware.
She is wide eyed in fear of Shivaay now, not fight or flight scared, but get-the-hell-outta-there-stat kinda scared. She leaves. But seeing her like that touched a nerve in Shivaay.
The next morning, the guys go to Dadi with good news with their good morning wishes. Dadi is happy, Lakshmi has come to the house , and in walks Annika in her chappals. *giggles* (Sorry!)
Shivaay is mesmerized again. He's more strongly aware of her than before, and its changed slightly to curiosity now. At the time when she feels like scrambling away at his sight. She and Priyanka have hit it off, Annika being the calming factor to Priyanka's wedding anxieties. She's running her dosa stall and planning the wedding. Good going tough girl. Already picked herself up.
But while looking for a file, she gets drawn to Shivaay's room. I'd prefer to think she was drawn to his presence rather than feeling soulful connections to his coffee machine and mirror.*LOL* But yeah, there he was, awkwardly silent. He doesn't want to be nasty again after seeing her cry, but he doesn't want her to know he has seen her either. So, both try to get out of the way, and keep bumping into the other.
The more they try to get away, the closer they get.
Shivaay steps aside to let her go, not a word exchanged.
Precap: Daksh (I presume) is restraining a fighting Annika in his arms, in the dark, somewhere. Was he attacking her, or did she see something she wasn't supposed to, we don't know. But Shivaay had come to her rescue inadvertently.
