Sidushka OS : The burnt ravioli
Siddhant looked around, Anushka was nowhere to be seen. He was restless, whom should he ask for assistance, that's when he saw Sweetyji walk in.
"Suniye, Sweetyji!" Siddhant called out and sweety ji approached him with urgent steps, Siddhant was surprised to see him in such hurry.
He thought to mock him and joked, "Kya ho gaya sweety ji? Bhabhi ji chod kar ja rahi hain kya?"
Sweetyji shook his head frantically before adding, "Anushka. Anushka ji ja rahi hain!"
"Kahan?" Siddhant asked almost immediately, surprised by the urgency in his own voice but he didn't seem to care.
Sweety ji smiled at once and said, "Bauji. Anushka ji, Vedant ke saath ja rahi hain. Maine unhe baat karte hue suna, shayad shaadi ke liye puchne wala hai Vedant aaj."
The colour vanished from Siddhant's face, it felt like he had seen a ghost in daylight.
Suddenly he was brought back to Earth as sweety ji shook him and nodded in the direction where Anushka and Vedant were having lunch.
Siddhant turned back, not wanting to witness all this again and break his heart when he heard her say, "Aaj main Mushroom Ravioli khaungi."
His heart broke, he was pulled back in the past, back when they had shared Ravioli together.
Flashback
Siddhant scrambled around with the items, Anushka was nowhere to be seen. He looked around when he felt two hands close his eyes.
He tried to shake them off when she said, "Nahi, pehle bolo, aaj main Anushka ka slave hun aur jo woh bolegi main karunga."
She could feel him frown, she giggled slowly, making sure he didn't hear it, she had got the opportunity to irritate him after long.
"Theek hai. Jo hukum mere aaka!" He said bending down and making her smile wider if possible, he was enjoying her happiness.
"So tumhara task hai Mushroom Ravioli banani hai mere liye." She finished pointing to the items scattered at the table.
He took the mushroom in his hand and spoke, "Ye banana nahi aata hume."
He just needed an escape, whatever would work, but she was in no mood to spare him so she said, "Dekho jali hui banao ya sadi hui, I need it in 2 hours."
Saying so, she walked off leaving him standing there with his mouth agape, she hid behind the wall and couldn't help but laugh at the situation. Siddhant Sinha looking so helpless was a sight to behold.
An idea clicked her mind and she ran back in with a camera and startling him shouted, "Siddhant, idhar dekho."
He turned around and she clicked his picture, all shocked and flustered, he looked too cute. She ran away leaving him shell-shocked.
'This woman would be the death of him', he thought and started to work in order to make her highness happy.
Present
"Ek woh waqt tha, jab tum humare haath se ravioli khati thi." He remembered the time he had fed her the dish cooked by his own hands.
He was pulled back to the present when Anushka spoke to Vedant, "Aapko pata hai, maine kabhi bhi achi Ravioli nahi khayi."
"Aisa hai? Hum bana kar khila dein?" Vedant immediately questioned and if one murder would have been allowed, Siddhant may have killed him by now.
Anushka gawked towards the wall from where Siddhant was peeping in, "Acha? Aapko aati hai banani? Itne talented ladke kahan milte hain aajkal!"
All the while she had her eyes fixed upon him, he was behaving as if he cared, or maybe as if he loved her.
She waited patiently for Vedant, in between noticing Siddhant stealing glances at her. When Vedant came back, he had a plate in his hand.
Siddhant didn't have it in him to watch anymore, he left the two alone. This was his favourite memory, the first time he had cooked for her was special to him.
He was sitting in his cabin, sulking, when he saw Anushka walk in. She had a sweet smirk on her face but she composed herself and pretended to ask for a file.
Siddhant didn't want to get out of control and take out his anger on her so he tried his best to avoid any eye contact with her.
As she was leaving, she heard him ask, "Kaisi bani thi us Vedant ki Ravioli?" She smiled as finally his patience had worn out.
Anushka closed behind the half-open door and walked back in. She moved as close to his desk as possible, sitting comfortably on the chair, she faced him now.
"Tum batao woh Ravioli kaisi bani thi?" She asked in turn with her eyebrows raised, demanding an answer from him. He was surprised at her question directed to him.
"Hume kya pata? Khayi toh tumne thi." He replied, never realizing his folly, too lost in his emotions to notice where she was going with this.
"Acha? Mujhe laga tumhe pata hoga, waise tumhe kaise pata Vedant ne Ravioli banayi?" She questioned with a laughter about to escape her, her lips pressed in a thin line to stop her from laughing.
"Wohh...hum..wohh..aisa hai. Hume sweetyji ne bataya." He said, trying to make any kind of excuse he could.
"Oh waise woh Ravioli bahut jali hui thi. It was burnt so much, itna ki fire extinguisher se bhi nahi bujh pati aag." She told him, getting up now.
His eyes furrowed in confusion at her words, she asked, "Arre nahi samjhe?"
Siddhant shook his head like a baby, and she felt her insides churn at his sweet action, her hands wanted to reach out and pull his cheeks, back like she did in childhood, but she resisted and continued nonetheless, "Siddhant Sinha itna jal rahe ho. Aag nahi bujh rahi hai!"
As she left with a smirk, leaving him flabbergasted, he could just feel his cheeks getting hot from her words, she never left a chance to amuse him.
At once, she walked back in and said, "Siddhant suno." He turned towards her and heard a camera click.
Seeing her run away laughing, he ruffled his hair, he couldn't manage to stay away from her ever, as much as he tried, she always found a way back.
