Sushant hasn't managed to get one BIG hit alone on his shoulders..Dhoni made money on Dhoni's name. the film would have made the same money if dhoni himself had acted in it.

kjo is skeptical about the film's release. he might be thinking tht ssr is not in a state to give a big hit then why to lose out 60-70 crores just like that...

i won't be surprised if the film gets shelved..his other two films paani and chanda mama are already shelved...

Many films looked like utter disasters and became utter disasters but still released like BV, JJ, A Gentleman, Ungli, GTPM etc etc. So why target this film? Also SSR's main problem was signing too many films...more than he could manage at one point(hence he left RAW, HG). Otherwise none of the delays or films getting shelved happened due to him alone.

Sushant have some really hard luck. He signed so many films after dhoni but some got shelved and some delayed or he pulled off from some. He was unable to get the benefit from dhoni success.

Maybe kjo is waiting for kedarnath release to see his stardom

Ok Jaanu was? Feeling bad for SSR, he deserves much better than Kjo's priye outsider, anyway hoping his Abhishek Chaubey film could prove to be a game changer.

There's no point in keeping a ready film on hold and delaying it. Delayed films never work and plus the costs keep mounting. Abhi toh phir bhi they can recover money through all the rights. Distributors probably won't give too much money and at worst Dharma will have to undersell it. But that also means that the film has to make less money to be considered a hit/average. Better release it and get it over with. How bad can it do anyways? Some decent tunes can build buzz as well. There's no need to release negative articles about this movie every few months.

Why did he even sign this film? He should stay away from kjo as much as possible!! He is much much better than kartik aryan as an actor and has a great potential. Firstly he must chose his films wisely. He should try to do acting oriented roles only at this point of his career, coz as an outsider he is really vulnerable. Bad decisions will end up takimg his career. But anyways his future lineup seems interesting. Even kedarnath might turn out to be good. As a fan i really hope he succeeds more and more.

he had an issue with the director's script with Dostana 2 as well and shelve it.. KJO is a shrewd man when it comes to business...if he does not like the final product he will not release it...irrespective of who's staring in it (oh well, sid might be an exception😉 )

If the distributors buy the film and it flops , it's the distributors who go into losses not the PH whereas the production house can recover half the cost by selling music,digital, satellite rights ...btw Zee company has already bought the music rights and fox star is a co producer and they will distribute ...that is also an added advantage when producers and distributors are the same.

sushant had signed so many films and tht too without much of thinking...

i really don't know what was he thinking when he signed raabta..he thought youth will adore his pair with kirti n the gals would go ga ga over their story. but there was no story

and Sushant's acting was really bad, not that he himself is a bad actor but his character was totally out of place..n there's one scene when there r just wasting time by making odd weird faces when waking up in the morning. it was a torture.

but having said that, it did fetch him good popularity the songs were hit and the body he made out for the film was appreciated and it helped him getting a lot of brands and advertisements..

however, on the film front the bad luck has struck him. if kedarnath failed, he would definitely need a BLOCKBUSTER otherwise even actors like rajkummar rao are getting big offers so he needs 2 b careful
