Race 3 affects Varun Dhawan-Katrina Kaif's dance film?

Makers apparently keen to cut down on budget of Remo D'Souza next film which stars Varun Dhawan and Katrina Kaif after Race 3 faces flak; director refuses to budge

Remo D'Souza-directed Race 3 has received mixed response from the audience. In the wake of the Salman Khan-starrer not meeting expectations, it has been heard that the makers of D'Souza's next - a dance film featuring Varun Dhawan and Katrina Kaif - were keen to downsize the budget.

An insider reveals that T-Series had a meeting with Remo D'Souza last week to discuss the revised cost. The source adds, "The budget was pegged at Rs 100 crore. After Race 3, Remo knows the amount of hard work that goes into making a 3D film. So, when the producers urged him to reduce the production cost, Remo didn't budge. He's sure that with stars like Varun and Katrina, the film will make profit. The makers finally relented on the amount."

he can do justice to a dance film and with good dancers on board..it can easily cross 100..so he is not wrong here

but who in the world thought he can direct an action thriller..he was totally not capable for that and the crash in r3 collections indicate his failure as a director of anything which involves more than dancing

I dont think he deserves such huge budget. He sucks as a director. He can blend desh bakti into ABCD series but choreography isnt something out of the world. His conceptualization and choreography is heavily inspired from Step up series, dance movies, AGT & BGT performance. HW makes dance movies on tight budget. He just can't justify such huge budget. It will need to make 170+ which won't happen due to amateur story as Masand talked about ABCD 2. loke that lady said for Vdw, songs are good but you can watch on YT, no need to watch on theater. His choreography is tacky, he is no SLB to give importance to every detail to make set look good and grand.

100 Cr would put it around 200 Cr for recovery... Do these people arbitrarily decide budgets? I really don't understand how these budgets get approved

same question. I would like to know how they allow budgets. In some cases such huge budget doesn't make any sense. May be this is a process of makingbblack money white.

ABCD2 is easily my least favourite Varun film & he has done some 1st rate crappy films😆, some is good choreo & can conceptualize some great dance acts with his team but ABCD2 was completely storyless, Race3 was a mockery in the name of film making, wouldnt mind if they shelve it altogether, ek Superhit ho gayi doesnt mean he deserves a 100 Cr budget, waise toh he doesnt even deserve the Big stars he keeps getting but khair kya kar sakte hain😆 I hope dance ke ke sath thodi story toh daal de for VD-Kat sake...

meri story lele ish movie ke liye, ek rupiya bhi nahi lunga😆 aur puri ki puri script de dunga.😆
