Why is our shows TRP so less : Let us analyse - Page 10

1. You have rightly mentioned the age but Indian TV's target audience is above 60... basically ppl who r retired n have enough time to watch shows on TV... dts y saas bahu drama still gains high trps n hence this being a teen show falters with trps... also sony hasnt increased its bandwidth which zee colors n star plus have done in past 10 years... sony's bandwidth is still same as it was 10 years back... sony hasnt invested in its reach... nd with internet being d thing i guess people prefer it online as they dont hv to see ads or can skip the scenes which they want to or watch when its convenient for them... but having said dt sony earns from its website also so d show which is getting high online trp these days arent bad as channel is earning through website as well. so sony wont shut shop this soon as no other show of theirs gets an online trp like YUDKBH as of now...

2. Coming to ashdeep i refrain myself from commenting on it but yes i agree offscreen chemistry does affect a show but not as much as we are thinking... coming to awards, awards r formal thing for industry n yes ashdeep should have entered together as you get an award or u r nominated because of a character... u get an award for d character u play so yeah they should have walked in together... but also its their personal choice... we as fans cant really say whether its a right choice or not because from the angle we will see would be different from the angle they r thinking... but i dont think their personal decisions affect professional life... both of them are practical n very professional so i dont think story or show would be affected because of it...

3. storyline faltered with a hap hazard decision of introducing delhi track... that track wasnt planned well... also since they were shooting differently the connect between the scenes got lost... direction also lacked since d director was changed he wasnt doing a good job he failed to match the standards... but yes story is stagnant as of now but cant really blame them ipl came n then offscreen drama of shefjun n then their other shows got off air n they had a new show coming up so i guess all this affected in d story writing as well... they couldnt balance it well i guess... but hoping now things would be back on track...

4. trp system in indian tv is like there is a trp box which is specifically installed on request... dt box tells which channel is being watched at what time ... secondly i dont know abt others but once in a month i get a call which asks me which shows i watch n what time i prefer watching tv (i happened to get connected with this system because of a friend)... these phone survey also gets converted into trps sometimes... coming to urban calculation system of trps this happens on d basis of people opting for channels... like mentioned earlier sony tv's reach is not dt much... u pay for each channel n some ppl dont opt for sony... sony needs to emerge itself as a brand so dt it shows can do well... ekta's show do well on other channels but not dt gr8 on sony... lets see her new show gains trps or not dt shall speak a lot abt things dt y trps r not good on sony...
