CHAPTER 1
In the Khanna House
Everyone sat on the dining table having breakfast. Gauri went around the table giving second servings to her family. She was about to place more parathas on Shiv's plate when he pulled her into his lap. She tried to get up but Shiv placed his arms around her waist and smirked at her attempts of freedom. Everyone laughed at his antics while Gauri turned red and hid her face in his shoulder. He kissed her head and she looked up at him. He loosened his grip as they stared into each others eyes. Gauri smiled and got up before Shiv could catch her again and moved to the other side of the table. She stuck her tongue out at his shocked expression as everyone else laughed at their antics. Shiv smiled and shook his head. Just then we see a guy coming down the stairs talking on the phone. He was wearing blue ripped jeans, a black long sleeve shirt with a white t-shirt over it left unbuttoned. It was prince Zaib. He went to the table and hung up on the phone. He greeted everyone and started eating. Everyone finished eating and just as Zaib was about to leave the house, his dad stopped him.
Dilip- Zaib where are you going now?
Zaib- I was going to go and hang out with Robbie and the guys why?
Dilip- You forgot again
Zaib- what?
D- we're going to Metz college for the concert remember?
Z- oh damn
D- you promised you'd come
Z- i did didn't i?
He looked at Metz face that was turning sad and made up his mind. If there was one thing he couldn't take was his little sister's sadness.
Z- Ok i guess i should call and tell the guys im not coming with them
Metz smiled and hugged Zaib happily. He laughed and hugged her back. He called his friends and told them he couldn't make it. The family left in their cars for the college, Bayside.
At Kapoors House
Everyone except Sania was at the table eating breakfast. There were many conversations going on at the same time. Then we see Sania coming down the stairs talking on the phone and with a bag. She said bye and hung up. Placing the bag on the floor she started eating her cereal. She was wearing a white salwaar kameez with little embroidery designs on the dress. She was wearing long silver earrings and silver heels. She was performing in her college's concert today. She was going to sing and dance so many times as she was the best in both of those things.
They left and reached Bayside in 15 minutes. Sania ran away as soon as she got out. Just then the Khannas came and met up with the Kapoors. They told Metz that Sania already went inside but before they could finish the sentence, she had already run away. Everyone shook their heads at the antics of Metz. They went inside and sat in the middle of the big room. The show was going to start in 10 minutes. Time went by really fast and the show was started.
The scene started as five guys sat on a bench talking to each other. They were wearing jeans and white sleeveless shirts. It was a college scene. Five girls had their back to the audience. Three of the girls were wearing blue shorts and tank tops. One was wearing a skirt and a tank. The last girl was wearing a black salwaar kameez. Music started playing as the guys noticed the girls standing there. The guys stood up and start walking to the girls and the girls turn around showing their faces. One of the girls is Sania, the one wearing the salwaar kameez. The song was Uncha Lamba Kad from Welcome.

They danced to the lyrics and sang the song. When that song ended, the curtains fell down and some guy came on and introduced the next song for 5 minutes. He left and the curtains rose. A girl stood with her back to the audience. She was wearing a white lengha without the chunni. The top was backless and was held by a thread around the neck, the skirt was long and embroidered designs were everywhere. Music started playing, it was the song Jaadu Hai Nasha Hai from Jism. The girl turned around, it was Sania. She had a speaker thing in her ear. She started singing.

She sang the song and danced a little along with the lyrics. Everyone was amazed by her voice, especially Zaib as he never came to these concerts at all. He had no clue that his best friend's little sister was such a great singer. They were more songs performed. Most of them had Sania in them along with Maithili. The concert ended around 1 in the afternoon. The two families waited outside for the girls. Metz and Sania came dressed in their outfits from the last song. Sania was wearing a white sari and Metz was wearing a red salwaar kameez. Their lithe and fragile body held the clothes perfectly.
Dilip, Naina, Reena, Dev and Dadu went in one car. Gauri, Shiv and Garsh went in another car. Only one car was left and four people left to ride together. Adi and Shiv sat in the front with Sania and Metz in the back. Adi was driving. The girls were bored; the guys were talking to each other and totally ignoring them.
S- Bro can u please play some music in here?
A- Ok
He turned the radio on and the song Mahiyaa from Awarapan was playing. The girls smiled and asked Adi to turn the volume high. He did that because Sania asked him, and he couldn't say no to her.

Sania started singing along with her eyes closed. The other three listened to her singing in a beautiful voice. Metz joined her at the end. The girls started laughing when they finished. The guys shook their heads at the girls. The girls started talking about the concert, the guys paying attention whenever a guy was mentioned.
S- so that one guy wanted your number?
M- Yea I know I was like no its ok u don't need to know lol
S- Hahaha ur soooooo funny yaar that's kute
M- Ha I kno
Just then Adi's phone started ringing, he picked it up and talked for a minute and dropped the phone saying "WHAT". The other three were confused and worried. Adi turned the car and raced to the city hospital.
S- Adi whats going on???
She asked as her, Metz, and Zaib chased after Adi down the hallways of the hospital. Finally he stopped in a corridor. Sania was surprised to see hers and Metz families. But Dadu wasn't there and her parents were crying. She gasped as it finally settled in her mind. She ran to her mom and grabbed her shoulders. Shaking her mom Sania asked her where Dadu was. Hearing this made everyone cry even more. Sania stopped and walked backwards in a chair and placed her head in her hands, shaking it from side to side.
She felt a hand on her shoulder; she raised her eyes that were moist and turning red. It was Adi, he crouched down in front of her, holding her hands and leaned his head against hers. They consoled each other silently. Everyone else was also crying as Dadu was close to everyone. Sania suddenly let go off Adi's hands and got up. Everyone stared at her as she walked to Dadu's room's window. She stared inside the room. She heard her mom explain that Dadu had a heart attack during their way home. She placed her hand on the see-through window. She stayed like that the whole 2 hours the doctors worked on her grandfather.
Finally her mom got her to sit down just 10 minutes before the doctors came out the room. She raced to them and asked them how Dadu was. The head doc looked at her and shook his head sadly. Sania gasped and said no. The doctor told them that Dadu was in a very critical condition and wanted to talk to Sania. Sania ran to the room and sat down next to Dadu. She took his hand in hers and he opened his eyes weakly.
S- Dadu, your okay na?
D- of course {weakly}
S- You wanted to tell me something?
D- I want you to fulfill my last wish.
S- Don't say that you'll live to see my kids and grandkids get married and have their own kids {smiles weakly}
By now everyone came in the room and saw the sad moment. Dadu smiled at her weakly.
D- Please Sania one last wish I've never asked you for anything
S- Okay Dadu kya hai aapki isha?
D- Tum shaadi karlo
S- What {standing up shocked}
S- but dadu
D- Please mere liye
Sania stood there thinking over and over. She looked at his weak eyes and her heart broke.
S- Okay I will but where will we get the dulha???
D- I have one in mind
S- Who?
D- Zaib
Both Zaib and Sania gasped and turned towards each other. They shook their heads. Sania turned to say something to dadu, but was interrupted by her mom.
R- He's right and besides both families wanted this since you were little kids
The two turned to each other and looked at their families faces filled with hope and then Dadu's face weak and full of hope, his eyes begging them to say yes. But could they????
