Alexander the Great and Roxanne

As we have been ranting lately on the forum about how Aparna's Roxanna is blatantly lacking in emoting and varying her facial expressions and her chemistry next to Rohit is due to it falling out, and the anticipation and expectations held for Roxanna's entry are hence not reciprocated. I would like to know, if you were in charge of the casting, who would you cast as Roxanna next to Rohit's Alexander ? And which are the scenes you would definitely make them enact and play ?

You know, I had to think hard and realized there aren't that many actresses I know of who could pull this off.

Any of these ladies:

• Kratika Sengar - her acting caliber is well known and she did great as Rani Laxmibai in Jhansi ki Rani
• Erica Fernandes - beauty, brains, and talent, loved her in Kuch Rang Pyar Ke
• Jennifer Winget - beautiful and versatile, loved her in Saraswatichandra, Beyhadh
• Alisha Panwar - beautiful and very good with different roles, doing especially well in Ishq Mein Marjaawaan
• Srishty Rode - unusual choice but I liked her in Shoba Somnath ki and especilaly in Punar Vivah

I would definitely like to see how the chosen one would play the scene where Bessus is killed, followed by the one where Alexander asks her to marry him. I want to see more interactions with Oympias too because they were supposed to have been similar in nature, plus her challenging Alexander at every turn but not in the way we've seen on the show so far.

Jennifer Winget is absolutely gorgeous ! She was phenomenal in Beyhadh as Maya, portraying a grey character that was first seen as independent, bossy and strong yet at the same time had fears, her own flaws and weaknesses. Yet Maya wasn't that hapless girl, as she was used to being abandoned by her mom when abused by her father since childhood so she could attack right back ! Maya really needed to go further with her misdeeds, for me to accept her as a villain 😆 Plus, she has such expressive eyes. Though she has had never played yet in any historical show, I think she really would have done well as Roxanna. They both would only need to emote and speak through their eyes and we would be already rooting for them 😆 Seriously ! I really thought about Jenny too 😛

Anita Hassandani's name has been going through my mind ever since Roxanne's character has made her entry...I think she would have been a good choice as well...

Won't she look a bit too old next to Rohit ? Make ups and get ups can easily change that though but still saying 😆
