@luckySnow,I don't feel that it's about one character outshining the other.If both the lead characters were properly written with a variety of shades then it would have proved to be beneficial for the show as a whole.
It would have made the show more interesting to watch.If this show is a motorbike then Puru and Alexander are it's two wheels.Both the wheels have to be equal in terms of shape and size in order for the vehicle to function properly.

The challenge for the CVs was to create a hero who is noble yet flawed and heroic yet human and an anti hero who commits questionable acts but has his own perspective too.But all they could create was a textbook hero and a stereotypical villain and as a result of that the show became boring.

If I have to be blunt then the only reason why I enjoy watching Sony Alexander is coz he is played by Rohit.Otherwise Sony Alexander is no out of the box character either.And this is the only reason IMO why Sony Alexander outshines Sony Puru.Had there been any other actor playing Sony Alexander I don't I would have been so interested in him.
This is entirely my perspective.

Similarly there are others outside this forum who feel that Puru outshines Alexander for their own reasons and I respect that.

It's not about one upmanship between the two characters of the show.If every character of the show was well written then the show itself would have become interesting.
The CVs too were so worried with the entire outshining business that they didn't write the story properly and nor frame the characters in a proper manner.As a result the entire series as a whole suffered.

14. Limited involvement of Darius in India and Shivdutt actually playing proper political games instead of murdering, kidnapping, and abusing people
15. Barsine growing a spine
16. More interaction between Hasti's mother (can't remember her name) and Puru before and after he discovers his real identity
17. Sibling rivalry between Puru and Kanish
18. Puru being human and not superman
19. Alexander in Egypt, being crowned Pharoah
20. Consistently showing Cleitus
21. Sisygambis!!
22. A proper Roxanne and real love story with Alexander
23. Aristotle's fallout with Alexander and Olympias
24. More Anusuya and Bamni time
25. Bamni teaching Puru statecraft
26. Chanakya's entry sooner in the show to guide Bamni and Puru (and Kanishk)
27. MOST IMPORTANTLY: more screen time for Alexander track
