Couple was at a SoBo eatery on Friday for a quiet meal.
After a week of arriving together at Mehboob Studio for workshops on their first film together, the Ayan Mukerji-directed adventure-fantasy Brahmastra, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt snuck away to SoBo for a quiet lunch date on Friday.
Bollywood's newest power couple, who is making sure to enjoy their breaks together amidst the hectic shoot for the film that also features Amitabh Bachchan, were spotted arriving at restaurateur Gauri Devidayal's posh eatery in Colaba around 2 pm and left after an hour.
RK was dressed casually in a white T-shirt and jeans while Alia was in a salwar kameez. "They ordered truffle fries, pork belly buns, scrambled eggs and duck salad, a source present at the restaurant informs.
They may have made their relationship public recently but according to sources close to RK, the actor had officially asked Alia out on New Year's Eve last year while on the previous Bulgaria schedule of Brahmastra. Upon his return to Mumbai, the 34-year-old actor had excitedly told his soccer mates about the development. Previously, Ranbir's actress-mom Neetu Kapoor's visit to his new film's sets in Bulgaria had coincided with Alia's 25th birthday on March 15.
More recently, Alia and Ranbir had turned heads with their first joint appearance, at Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja's sangeetcum-wedding reception in early May, which was followed by RK confirming their relationship in an interview. On Wednesday, the couple was joined by RK's sister Riddhima and niece, Samara, at Mehboob Studio, when Alia hung out with the seven-year-old and the duo also clicked selfies together.
