and surprisingly Armaan's accident and memory loss track were what actually happened in DMG and the accident was in the same way as it happened in MKRM.

Armaan takes the gang to the hospital.
Riddhima convinces Sid not to tell Armaan about their annulment.
Track 18 - Lift Me Up, OneRepublic
Armaan had informed Riddhima that they had to go look at one of the hotel banquet halls the next day, which was the reason why she was in such a tizzy.
"Riddhima, why are you so tensed? You just have to go, look at the place, and give your opinion," Sid asked.
"Sid, you don't understand! I'll be alone. With Armaan. That's a recipe for disaster," she explained. "We've been here for almost a week, and I've not had one proper conversation with him in all this time. Whenever we've talked, it's been awkward. Or cold. Here, there are people to cushion the blow, but there, no one is going to come with us."
"Do... Do you want me to come with you? I can," Sid offered lightly. He understood how difficult it was for Riddhima. She had been through so much in the past 6 years since their annulment. But, even after everything, she was still in love with Armaan. And, seeing him so suddenly after all these years and thrown her off balance. Riddhima had made peace with the fact that she wouldn't ever be with Armaan again years ago. She was content to spend her life with their memories. Her marriage to Sid had been an eye opener. She now understood that she wouldn't ever be a good life partner for someone who wasn't Armaan. So, she hadn't even tried to settle down with someone else in all this time. Even after repeated requests and then later, orders, from her father, she'd stood her ground.
"No," Riddhima replied. "It'll be very awkward as it is. I don't want to raise Armaan's hackles by inviting you along. It'll make him think that I don't trust him to be alone with him. That I think he'll try something because my husband isn't around. And that's the last thing I want him to think."
"Hmmm, you're right," Sid agreed. "Maybe talk to him once before going?" He suggested.
"T... Talk to him?" Riddhima asked, as if Sid had grown a second head.
"Yeah," he replied, shrugging carelessly.
"Have you lost your mind? You want me to initiate conversation with him of my own free will?" Riddhima was flabbergasted that Sid would even suggest such a thing.
"What's wrong with that? You said it yourself. You're going to be alone with him tomorrow. Or are you planning to take a spokesperson with you to talk on your behalf?" He asked sarcastically.
"Yes, but Sid, it's..." Riddhima trailed off, not knowing how to explain to him how she was feeling about his suggestion.
Sid sighed. "I know it's not easy to face him after all that has happened, but it's been 7 years, Riddhima. Don't you think you should at least try to move on?"
"It's not about moving on, Sid. I've understood that I'll never be able to forget him, not matter what. I mean, look at you. You're such an amazing person. So sweet and caring. And at one point of time, you loved me too. But, I couldn't bring myself to commit to you. You think I could commit to someone else?" She asked rhetorically.
Sid nodded reluctantly. She had a point. "So, you're right. But, that doesn't mean you guys can't talk. I mean, come on, even we broke up, but look at us right now," he gestured between the two of them. "You're my best friend."
Riddhima sighed in exasperation. "That's because we don't love each other na, Sid. Idiot."
Sid laughed. "Achcha. Okay. Let's take an example from your favourite author's novel. You've read An Unkindness of Ravens, right?" Sid asked.
Riddhima nodded, her face the epitome of the duh expression.
"So, in that story, Lucas and Brooke were in an honest relationship. They loved each other. But, they broke up. And they were still able to remain friends after everything."
Riddhima wanted to say something, but Sid cut her off. "And don't even think about saying it's fiction and those things don't happen for real because you only told me that that book is based on the author's personal experiences."
Riddhima nodded reluctantly. "You're right. I have to try. I mean, I was the one who broke all bridges the last time. So, of course, I'll have to be the one to mend fences."
"Finally!" Sid exclaimed. "Please, go," he gestured for her to leave.
"Now?" Riddhima asked, horrified.
"No, ten centuries later," Sid replied sarcastically. "Of course, now!"
"But..." Riddhima tried to protest.
"Nothing doing. You have to talk to him," Sid coaxed. Seeing that she was still reluctant, he added. "If you don't go, I'll tell Armaan everything," he threatened.
"You wouldn't," Riddhima warned.
"I will, Riddhima. Don't test me," Sid answered.
"Okay, fine! I'll talk to him!" Riddhima relented.
"Now," Sid ordered.
"Fine. I'm going," she said, leaving.
Sid sighed and closed his eyes. He hoped that this would be the first step to solving the ever present issues between his two best friends. He really wanted them to go back together. All those years ago, he had come in between them, even he didn't want to believe it then.
He'd seen first hand how much Riddhima loved Armaan, but he'd still married her and then, he'd tried to trap her in that one sided relationship because he believed he was in love with her. He should have just left when he found out that Armaan had come back. It would have saved all of them almost 8 years worth of heartache. But, he'd been so scared. He was deeply infatuated with Riddhima, in love with the fact that she could love someone so deeply, and afraid because he didn't want her to leave him like Tamanna had left him. So, he spun stories in his head, making himself believe that Riddhima's worry for him, her caring gestures - they were a result of the love she felt for him and not just her fulfilling a responsibility towards her husband and her marriage.
By the time he'd realized that this relationship was not only hurting Riddhima, but also him, it had been too late. Armaan had already left Riddhima behind, intent on not creating any more problems in her marital life. He'd loved her enough to let her go, not once but twice. And Sid, what had he done? There were times when he'd claimed he loved Riddhima even more than Armaan loved her. But, what had he done to prove it? He'd seen how much Riddhima had been struggling with their relationship, but instead of understanding her plight, he'd ignored it and continued to live in his ignorant blissful world.
This was his chance to make it right, and Sid swore that he wouldn't let it pass by.
Riddhima reluctantly knocked the door to Armaan's room. She knew Sid was right and that talking to Armaan was the best choice, but she was still so afraid to be alone with him. Not only was there a newfound nervousness within her that made her exceptionally conscious in front of him, but, she found it hard to control her emotions on seeing him. Everytime she did, Riddhima so desperately wished that she could just forget everything and run into his arms, where she would be safe forever and bask in his love. It was getting tougher to ignore that part of her with every passing second.
Riddhima so desperately wished for one chance to change it all. She wished she could go back in time and make it so that she never had to leave Armaan for anything. She wished she could undo her marriage to Sid and embrace Armaan with open arms once he came back. But, she couldn't do that. And that fact made her so very sad. She regretted every moment she'd ever spent with Sid that forced her to stay away from Armaan. She wished she'd had the courage to leave that thoughtless and baseless marriage earlier, when Armaan was still around. If she had, they'd have been together today. A happy family with the house and garden and the picket fence and dog and kids. She blushed at the thought of kids and looked around the house, realizing that Armaan had already fulfilled those dreams with the exception of a wife. He had a house that could easily have been Riddhima's dream house. And, he had a dog. Padfoot was such a sweetheart. Riddhima absolutely adored him. Come to think of it, he was exactly the kind of dog Riddhima would have wanted for herself.
The thought that Armaan had been fulfilling her dreams, in a way, made her gasp. Did it mean that he still had feelings for her? If not, why would he have a house like the one she'd dreamed off, or a dog that would have loved? Was it mere coincidence? Was she reading too much into it? These thoughts were making her even more restless. She couldn't face Armaan when she was thinking about stuff like this!
Yes, she decided. She'd talk to him in the morning. She turned around to walk to her room, but stopped when she saw Sid standing a few steps away. Of course he was, she thought.
"Ha!" Sid exclaimed. "I knew you'd try to back out. But, you can't. I swear, I won't let you move till you talk to him."
"Sid, please," Riddhima pleaded. "Not today."
"Yes, today," Sid answered. "You can't run forever."
Riddhima sighed. Sid was right. Why did he always have to make so much sense?
Hearing voices outside his room, Armaan opened the door just as Sid was in the process of pushing Riddhima towards it. She lost her footing and fell right into Armaan's waiting arms.
Armaan held her tightly, not wanting to let her fall, his body acting on its own. Even after so long, he couldn't let her get hurt on his watch. Why did she still affect him so? He thought. Riddhima would always be an enigma to him.
Meanwhile, Riddhima basked in the feeling of having Armaan's arms around her after so long. For the first time in 8 years, she was home. She was safe. She hadn't felt so at peace since the night she'd woken up from her coma after the engagement incident and found out that Armaan had left her.
Feeling her gaze on him, Armaan looked up, to see her staring intently at him. He stared right back. Soon, they were lost in each other's eyes, a thousand words exchanged between the two of them. Armaan smiled lightly on seeing her. She was so beautiful. Armaan thought she hadn't looked so beautiful ever.
Sid smirked on seeing them together. No matter what either of them said, there was something there still. Even after all these years apart, they still had strong feelings for each other. He vowed then and there that he would do everything in his power to get them back together. They were meant to be. If they weren't so stubborn, they could have been together 7 years ago. But, Riddhima was a stubborn mule and Armaan was a self sacrificing asshole. So, they hadn't. It had been his fault then. He wouldn't let another opportunity pass through his fingers. He had 3 weeks. 3 weeks to get them back together. And he would make damn sure that he did so.

If I told you I was down I was down would you help me
Told you I was down I was down would you lift me up
I need your strength I'll be up someday
If I told you I was down I was down would you lift me up
I have this human love
It shattered once or twice
It pulls me up and down
If it's filled with jagged ice
Everyday I'm wanting something I ain't having
I have this human heart
My mother told me so
She said this shit can go to pieces boy be careful
But you and me and me and you got something magic
So I say to you
If I told you I was down I was down would you help me
Told you I was down I was down would you lift me up
I need your strength I'll be up someday
If I told you I was down I was down would you lift me up
If I told you I was broke I was broke would you fix me
Told you I was down to the line would you lift me up
I need your strength I'll be up someday
If I told you I was down I was down would you lift me up
Lift me up, lift me up, lift me up, lift me up
I have this human love
My mother told me so
She said this world could bring you down so don't be swinging low
Cause you and me and me and you got something magic
So I say to you
If I told you I was down I was down would you help me
Told you I was down I was down would you lift me up
I need your strength I'll be up someday
If I told you I was down I was down would you lift me up
Lift me up, lift me up, lift me up, lift me up
I got my problems but I don't need you to solve them and I don't care
Like it in that all my shit is right there
I wear my issues like tattoos across my chest
And people notice I tell them you ain't seen nothing yet
Brother lift me, brother lift me
Lift me up and be my strength I'll be up someday
If I told you I was down, I was down
Lift me up, lift me up, lift me up, lift me up
I got my problems but I don't need you to solve them and I don't care
Like it in that all my shit is right there
I wear my issues like tattoos across my chest
