Ranbir officially asked out Alia on New Year's Eve last year?

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are B-Town's IT couple. Amidst growing speculation about their relationship, Ranbir Kapoor confirmed in an interview to GQ that he is dating Alia Bhatt. The couple has been spotted together many a times on movie and dinner outings.

They were clicked together recently leaving the sets of Brahmastra after the first day of shoot. Alia and Ranbir have begun shooting for the second schedule of the film.

The couple enjoyed a lunch outing from the sets of Brahmastra yesterday during break. The lovebirds arrived at a plush restaurant in the suburbs. They spent close to an hour at the restaurant. A source revealed to Mumbai Mirror, "They ordered truffle fries, pork belly buns, scrambled eggs and duck salad.

Alia Bhatt opted for an ethnic outfit whereas Ranbir Kapoor kept it casual in a white tee and blue denim. As per the source, the couple may have made their relationship official recently, but Ranbir Kapoor had asked out Alia Bhatt on New Year's Eve last year. Ranbir and Alia had accompanied director Ayan Mukerji for a recce to Bulgaria.

Ranbir had already informed his soccer buddies about his relationship status after returning from Bulgaria. Ranbir Kapoor's mother Neetu Kapoor's trip to Bulgaria had coincided with Alia Bhatt's 25th birthday.

In the interview with GQ, Ranbir said that their relationship is too new' and that it needs breathing space. He said that new relationship comes with excitement and old tricks become new tricks.
