Don't say that he has only opened his heart to her and not his shaatir dimaag. 'The dimaag has very little influence when it comes to love, when even commonsense flies out of the window. Now his heart is vulnerable in a way that it never was before, and Roxanne is going to hit him hard every time just there.

I don't see why he needed to tell her about his mohabbat to get to know what was in her mind. She had already started needling him about Puru. He is a besotted fool, that is all. God knows what more folly he is going to indulge in to "win her love". Aapki kadamon mein haazir, my foot! 😡 Olympias should slap some sense into him. Grrr...

That line of Roxanne's about his conquering her and her love only when he had conquered India reminded me of a story of medieval England. At a grand tournament, when the lords and ladies were relaxing, one of the noble women, keen to demonstrate the hold she had on a famous knight, tossed her glove into the lion pit, and then looked expectantly at him.He looked back at her, then climbed down into the pit, and dodging the lions, retrieved the handkerchief. When he got back up, he threw it in her face/

For it was not love, but vanity that made her want him to risk his life so that she could boast to her friends about how devoted he was to her.

I would like to see Roxanne get her comeuppance, good and proper, some time soon. But I have no great hope that this will happen. In any case, I don't think this show can last more than another 30 episodes, if that. There is nothing much left to show.

Aunty, trust me he will not become a joru ka ghulam...even I don't want that from him and of him (but we don't know what the CVs have planned since they are out to destroy his character at every inch of the way)! Ignoring what is being shown on TV, what I was just saying is that is reality too, Roxanne does finally come around and accepts Alexander..maybe since details are not known about how that comes about, the CVs are just trying to put their desi touch on the scenario and are showing Roaxanne as the haughty, spoilt wife, who Alexander will have to work towards taming...as long as the CVs don't screw it up, I am pretty sure he will not go down that 'joru ka ghulam' route.

Yes, she will take some time to get his point about love being selfless and that what he feels for her is above all her meanness. My concern is that in a bid to prove his qaabiliyat as a military commander he does not make the brilliant decisions he has until date. I would hate for another pre-war meeting to happen between Puru and him just because of a bruised ego.

@Taherav I too loved that he cleared her "ghalat fehmi" in his shut up call to her up and his tone at the end made me feel that she may try but she can't walk all over him. If indeed there are only a few episodes left, he'd have to be busy with the war and not with putting up with her antics.

Also agree that he opened his heart to her, not his shaatir demaag, but it was a small window and not the entire door. Although, Roxanne is smart enough to make the best of a small window too. 😆

@Aunty I know you are mad that he's become a prime candidate for a joru ka ghulaam, but I don't think it will happen in the way we saw with Jalaal, which infuriated me to no end. He may give her a lot of leeway, but I think beyond a certain point he will put his down as his natural arrogance surfaces. Or Olympias will intervene as she's around and show her her place.

They just don't have enough time to show a drawn out affair of wooing and her rebelling in her mean way. As for why he needed to tell her about his feelings, well we don't like that but it's because it hurt his pride when he realized she thought he'd married her as a show of force and secondly as you said, he is besotted so logic has no place right now.

As @taherav said, unless they totally destroy his character, I don't see how he can become a complete joru ka ghulaam. It might possibly start out that way but he'll check himself once she crosses the line and hits that wall of arrogance he naturally possesses. If it does happen, though, I won't be able to digest it because of how poorly Roxanne has been portrayed. I can't imagine Sony Roxanne being able to justify on screen the charisma and the x-factor that would have Alexander falling at her feet.

@luckysnow, it would be interesting to get a scene of her throwing him out, but with the speed that things are going in the show, I wonder when Alexander will have the time to drink that much in the first place. Probably off-screen. 😆 I don't think Alexander was known as a mama's boy in the regular sense that has negative connotations. He was devoted to her, but as far as I can see only good came out of it. She guided him well and stood by him no matter what. He also used his judgement and overruled her when he felt it was necessary, which is not what mama's boys tend to do. For example, when he warned her not to harm Arrhidaeus any further or when he decided to continue the conquest of India against her wishes.
