Goliath was a large Philistine warrior defeated by young David in the Book of Samuel. Post-Classical Jewish traditions stressed his status as the representative of paganism, in contrast to David, the champion of the God of Israel. Christian tradition sees David's battle with Goliath the victory of God's king over the enemies of God's helpless people as a prefiguring of Jesus' victory over sin on the cross and the Church's victory over Satan.

The phrase "David and Goliath" (or "David versus Goliath") has taken on a more popular meaning, denoting an underdog situation, a contest where a smaller, weaker opponent faces a much bigger, stronger adversary.

Thanks Padma! 😃

Hey Panda,

I will try. Nirala was known as a Chhayavaad poet (loosely translated as neo-romanticism). He's known for his poems on humans and nature.

This poem is a dialogue between a rose and a mushroom, where mushroom speaks about being a grounded plant while the much sought after rose has thorns.

Abey sunbey gulab
Listen up rose
bhool mat jo paayi khushboo
don't forget your fragrance
rang o aab
and your crimson colour
khoon choosa tuney ashisht
is because you've made the gardener work day and night (literally- blood sucking impolite thing)
daal par itra raha hai capitalist
don't be so proud sitting pretty on the branch you capitalist
kitno ko banaya hai tuney ghulam
you've made many a slave

Can interpret it as the riches of the wealthy, of which they are so proud, are due to the hard work of the working class. Hope it helps 😊

Thank you Peaches! 🤗
That helped a lot!! :)

Interesting comments ladies, especially the bit about Sid hurting Anyushka time and again. I think this time she will come out stronger and I want to see tables turned. Sid to realise what she actually means to him.
