90's was an era when a girl's beauty was mainly judged by her complexion and superficial looks. Things haven't changed much in hat way but still it is way better than that time in that respect.

It is quite sad that still people judge others on superficial beauty. But atleast now kids are more confident compared to earlier days. They are quite sure on what they want to become from young age onwards. Regardless of gender they r ready to study and work anything and anywhere and most of the parents are willing to do anything for that. My son is going to write his 10th board exams this year. He is much more clearer on his future studies than me and my husband at his age. I hope most of students of this forum are also like that. Really happy to see this change in kids.

Oh Ok. I am sorry I didnt know about how things were in Kerala. But I am brought up in Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad hence my comment. I find Naina and Preeti are having too much of restrictions because of Taiji. That was not the case with me or my friends. Of course society wasnt open like it is now. But I had studied in co ed and talking to boys was normal. But ya meeting them alone in park or traveling on a bike was taboo. There were few restriction re certain kind of clothes. So my comment more from the place where they are shown living and how that place was then.

Thanks for the reply.
I think the restrictions in expressing our opinions to elders were there across almost all society. I am from Kerala and I must say Naina and Preethi are enjoying much more freedom than me at that time. I was also doing first year B.Sc on June 1992. If we talk to a boy outside college then we will be receiving stares from passerby. By mistake if anyone of them is someone who knows us then they news will reach home even before we reaches back. Then it will be the recreation of scene created by Taiji after finding Naina running on the road with a backless blouse.
😆 😆

I studied in a women's college. But tuition Centre was having boys. There we were not allowed to sit together. Talking also not allowed even inside tuition Centre. Now when I think back all these looks really silly. Don't know whether the situation is still same or not.

Very true post! Girls situation is most families in 90s was this, especially many Marwari families or other conservative families! Love marriage was a taboo, at least they wd nt have cast issues & here the guy is rich, so if he takes a stand, things vl work out smoothly eventually!

Yes, you r right. As long as Sameer is strong and clear on his relationship with Naina then there is no problem from his side. Small issues can be created by Mama and Mami siting the financial difference and "superficial beauty of Naina. From Naina's Family major road block may be Tayyab Ali. If he creates any issue then it will be really difficult to solve as he is too adamant and he just don't care whether it is affecting the future of Naina or not.
