Ranveer Singh's grandmother passed away,
last night. According to several reports, she
had not been keeping well for a long time.
The exact cause of death is unknown.
Ranveer, who shared a close bond with his
grandmother, is obviously bereaved by her
death and cancelled the Switzerland Tourism
press conference, which was scheduled for
today afternoon. The actor is the brand
ambassador of Switzerland Tourism.
In January, his girlfriend Deepika Padukone
had visited Ranveer's grandmother in
hospital, when she was unwell.
On the work front, Ranveer is busy with
several projects. He has wrapped up the
shooting of Gully Boy, and will next be seen
in Rohit Shetty's Simmba, which will hit the
screens in December

Earlier in January, Ranveer Singh's girlfriend, Deepika Padukone had gone to visit his grandmother, as she was unwell. Ranveer was extremely close to his grandmother. In an interview with Grazia, he had talked about how his grandmother is the reason he has grown up to be so affectionate. "As important to me as oxygen and water. I am very affectionate with everybody my fans, my family. I was raised that way. My grandmother mollycoddled me. There was lots of hugging and kissing in my house, he had said.

On the professional front, Ranveer was last seen in Padmaavat. The movie is the biggest blockbuster of 2018. He has two big films in his bag Rohit Shetty-Karan Johar's Simbaa and Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy.

really sad to hear, ranveer was very close to her, ranveer was supposed to do a conference for swiss tourism yesterday but cancelled it coz his grandma passed away
