Personally, I feel people who are modern wouldn't care to wear the mangalsutra altogether. This wearing on the wrist is just to create some stir or prove how rebellious she is when she's such a far cry from that, it's almost painful.

Sonam is all about pretense. She pretends to be this and that when in reality she is none of it. She believes in pundits and numerology. She had had wedding date set according mohurat of pundits. She had her wedding a certain way bc they told it would bring her good luck. She changed her name according to what sexist patrialchal pundits told her to do. Even Swara told her to bribe the pundits and make them change the initial date but don't tell her parents because her backward ass family believes in all these things. She is neither bright nor has she ever been independent .

Does it matter where it goes? At-least she is wearing it. 🤔
