Aditya is not playing to win. Really. Yes if you look from conventional point of view it looks correct. But Adi's goal is not conventional. He is mocking that society that undermines a woman. That society which tells the woman she cant. Tells her what she should do an she should not do. In that way denying her a level playing field and then mocks at her inefficiency.
He is giving a woman an oppourtunity. An oppourtunity to prove a man wrong. The way Virani speaks half the girls will run away thinking they cannot do it. That's the trick a man has employed for centuries. Women need to understand it is not easy for them at the word go because they have been conditioned a lot. So she needs to keep her confidence and try. She needs to have self belief.
Actually today's incident reminded me of my days as a plus two student. I was aspiring for engineering and like any student went for coaching. Our physics Sir was like Mr Virani. He will find oppourtunity somehow to belittle the girls in the class and praise the boys. He was a good teacher but we sat terrified in his class. I was his target student and he comes and stands when I solve problem making it difficult for me and then mock at me. Mostly it will be a demoralized me going after physics tuition that I cannot clear the entrance.
If Monday it was physics tuition, it was chemistry tuition for me on tuesday. Chemistry Sir as soon as he enters the class tells a line " Anybody can defeat anyone if you have self belief." He never differentiated on gender and gave oppourtunites to express yourself. So you felt motivated. So it was a cycle and Chemistry Sir kept me going, making me give my best for entrance. I worked hard. Just like Zoya today who decided a woman will out Mr Virani, I wanted to prove that physics Sir wrong. And I did it. When more than 80% of the girls in the physics class couldnt crack the entrance, I not only cracked it but my rank was ahead of so many of his pet boys.
I still remember standing in front of him with a smile showing my admit card to one of the top engineering colleges in Kerala.He didnt look directly at me.
What Zoya was denied was oppourtunity. Neither her father, nor Yash gave her that.Ability to take decision, ability to fail. Today Aditya not only gave her the oppourntiy, but when she fell he became her cushion. It shows he gives her the option to fail. He allows her to fly giving her wings, but if she falls in her need to prove herself he will catch her. Always. And he takes the beating if needed. And Virani will be out. The thoughts also will be out, though they are the catalyst, it will be done by a person belonging to that school of thought itself. Or rather they will self destroy. Rajveer actually belongs to Kalpesh team and he took the ball. That's what Adi will do. He will make old school of thought self destroy itself with Zoya.
