Name a singer or singers whom you are sure were not allowed to enter recording studios if autotuners , antreas softwares , mixers were not invented or were bann to use in Bollywood songs. :) ... Even chances that senior music composer like Anu Malik could have rejected in Indian idol.

almost all latest singers feel that way you know?

IDK how much digital effects go into supplementing out their voices, but most mainstream songs feel that way.

TBH I always wonder at most latest singers - aise kaise she/he became playback singer... they sound good, not BAD, but still - the question is is there a dearth of better trained strong singers?

Or does it all boil down to shitty music direction?

many new singers in bollywood does use voice correction system like ankit tiwari etc

I am shocked even Zack knight and jasmin walkable in Bum Diggy song also had to take help of auto tuning
