I think KK was thinking of the things he did, that startleness came from his guilty conscience. Like someone is "watching him.. "reading his mind.. knows what is going on.. and he is about to get caught.. cover blown! That could be one significance! After reading the latest article :/

That only happens when you're guilty and are afraid of your own consciousness watching over you!

But it can be a normal scene too. Like you're alone with yourself and suddenly get startled by someone's presence. Even I jump up sometimes when I'm alone in my room in silence and Mom enters suddenly 😆
