So I just finished re-watching all the episodes and the first 37 episodes are exceptional. The ones after that are not terrible (I enjoy the light banter between Zoya and Adi), but I think the writers went wrong in 2 places:
1. When Adi found out that Mahi sent those goons, his reaction was not upto par. He didn't live up to the passionate speech in the hospital to Mahi about not tolerating anymore of her antics against Zoya. Instead of doing something about incident, he just decided to use her to get a reaction out of Zoya.
2. It was clear that Adi softened towards Zoya after the suicide attempt. And yes, he feels like she is the only person who understands his pain, but now that Zoya is back to her old self, he should be making an effort to become friends with her in my opinion instead of trying to annoy her some more. We should also get some more changes in their feelings towards each other. Adi still taunts Zoya about her "cheater husband" and Zoya still sees Adi as an enemy and overlooking all the sweet things he has done for her.
So now that we know that the writers have started fumbling in the first 40 episodes itself, my worry is whether they will live up to our expections for the epic love story we are expecting. Considering how much Zoya and Adi loved their partners, and how much the betrayal hurt them, it will be difficult to show them not only fall in love, but fall even harder than the first time around. I sincerely hope Jenshads chemistry is not wasted!
With that said, what type of a story do think will do justice for these two?
