Sonam's Veere Di Wedding will clash with
Harshvardhan's Bhavesh Joshi Superhero on
June 1
Come June 1, and Sonam Kapoor will lock
horns with brother Harshvardhan Kapoor at
the box office. Their films, Veere Di Wedding
and Bhavesh Joshi Superhero, will clash at
the ticket windows.
While Sonam's film was scheduled for June 1
release, the makers of Bhavesh Joshi
Superhero decided to push the release of
their film by a week. Earlier, Harshvardhan's
much-delayed film was expected to hit the
screens on May 25. But with the sudden
change in plan, Bhavesh Joshi Superhero will
now clash with Veere Di Wedding on June 1.
And dad Anil Kapoor isn't too happy with
the news.
"These calls [about a film's release date] are
made by the respective studios and
distributors, and I respect that. In my entire
career, I have never said ki ab release karo
ya abhi release mat karo. Neither Harsh nor I
are in a position to say anything about the
release date," he told Mid-Day.
Veere Di Wedding is Anil's home production,
but he doesn't want to interfere with Rhea
Kapoor's decision. "The decision regarding
Veere's release date has been taken by Rhea
and Ekta Kapoor," said the actor.
But he did reveal that he will be anxious
about his children. "As a father, I will be
anxious about my children. We have to wish
for the best," added Anil Kapoor.
