I don't think so. If Boom is her first film then she would probably go down Sunny Leone path. She would be popular among men (she still is) but she won't get films like JTHJ, MBKD, etc. Don't see that happening if Salman was out of the picture. Or maybe end up like Ellie Avram?

Salman groomed her to behave in certain way and choose right kind of movies and introduced to whose who of bollywood, getting linked to Salman also made her bhabhi of tabloids. Which gave her free media mileage. Daisy Shah was also given same route , guidance from Salman, getting introduced to his inner circles, rounds of galaxy and link up to Salman but it dint help. But media never entertained her to be next potential bhabhi. Others in the line Lulia is undercover bhabhi , sneha uallal is forgotten and lastly zareen Khan took B grade route to survive in industry. Bollywood is luck by chance. Anybody could been star with right oppertunity at right time. Specially after stardom of krthik Aryan anything is possible.

I think though, Kat was way more likable during her initial days compared to the other people you mentioned. And she WAS dating Salman. He took her everywhere too. his tv shows, helped her modeling career , film sets, the whole works. She is very lucky and fortunate. Her charm, cuteness, and make over probably helped too.
