I'm new to this forum, have recently started watching this show and sometimes peep in here to check about spoilers or some news about the show.
Have come across certain posts where everyone was discussing about Pammi Kapoor.
Most of us are confused regarding her characterization(negative or positive), her past and her present!
In one of the initial episodes it was mentioned that Vivaan's dad is in a Rehab so he is conveniently absent from the current scenario as well as he mustn't have disclosed much to his children.
Secondly regarding Vivaan's phobia for darkness (not sure) but I assume it was his Dadi who had locked him up when he had cried and asked for his mother.
Lastly we all know Roma was very much a part of their past and had a major role in breaking up of his family.
So Vivaan knows only one side of the story specifically Roma's version as his father is in rehab, he is scarred n traumatized by his memories and phobia.
Also as he is totally influenced by Roma!!
Coming to Pammi Kapoor:
All the flashback scenes of Vivaan show his mom as a traditional housewife (not to forget her kangans) and we all know Roma's attitude and hatred towards Indians, Indian family cultures, traditions etc.
So I assume this conservative v/s modern attitude would have been major reason for the fallout then!

hates typical Indian middle class values, their attitude, traditional housewives.
I strongly believe your past experiences play a major role to bring out change in you!!... Maybe for good ... or bad!!!
Many feel she is negative but I feel she has adopted a defensive approach to overcome her painful past!!
She may have had adjustment issues in her past trying to match up to her progressive in-laws who were settled abroad ...but she failed!!
So now she has not only changed herself but is grooming other young girls so they don't have to face what she must have undergone in her past!
I totally agree she is rude, very mean at times specially the way she humiliated Meera and her mom... but ...
... Pammi's side of story will surface out and probably clear out her viewpoint.
Ofcourse Roma thought she killed Pammi as she never wanted her to return in the Kapoor family.
And maybe the circumstances then forced Pammi to bury all her past and her existence too to escape from Roma's evil plans and to survive!!
No doubt its gonna be lot of fireworks between Meera and Pammi, but I would love to see Meera-Pammi strong bond! ... But with CV's U NEVER KNOW😳
Sorry for the long post but wanted to post my take on the story so far!!
