These days in the plot there is a lot of self-talk that little Kulfi has to do, and here is where primarily the problem is, and it is here she appears to mumble.That being said, I think we need to give the child star a break. She is displaying complex emotions of being in an alien place without anyone to call her own, where she has undergone a gender change, where she is constantly bullied, abused, and now exploited for her singing voice. In between this, she is spontaneous, childlike and has moments of hope and even joy. Even adult actors, under such circumstances, would find it a challenge to switch genders and between complex emotions quickly.To her credit, little Akriti is doing well. I think she will grow as she gets more experience with playing Kulfi. Let us applaud and support her budding talent as we enjoy the show.
