That being said, I think we need to give the child star a break. She is displaying complex emotions of being in an alien place without anyone to call her own, where she has undergone a gender change, where she is constantly bullied, abused, and now exploited for her singing voice. In between this, she is spontaneous, childlike and has moments of hope and even joy. Even adult actors, under such circumstances, would find it a challenge to switch genders and between complex emotions quickly.

To her credit, little Akriti is doing well. I think she will grow as she gets more experience with playing Kulfi. Let us applaud and support her budding talent as we enjoy the show.

Much needed post .I a agree with everything you said . I wanted to make similar post but I was very busy . Thanks .

I personally love Kulfi . Actress is only seven years old . I am not sure if she can even read right . Specially Hindi . To memorize all those lines is incredible for 7 yrs old . Every scene with different expression , I am not a actor but I know it's very difficult. Girl is incredible.

Children need models rather than critics. For some reason if we hear 100 praises and one criticism, we focus on that one hurtful thing.Acting has to come naturally and be believable. If someone try to be too perfect it will come off as fake and robotic, which is not good in acting. Acting is you being real, not being perfect, in fact not being perfect makes it so believable.

I hope she does not visit forum . Her hard work needs appreciation. She is sweet and works very hard. As an adult she will be one of the best actor on TV . My blessing are with her. Keep it up Kulfi .

What you said, May it all be true !! 👏 👏 I would love for her to shine and do well in her roles and career, if she chooses to continue acting as an adult. Or whichever field she chooses! Critiquing her does not mean putting her down or demean her in any way ! But just to point out places where she can improve, if not now, then later as well. You are right, acting should come naturally to actors, when you have real talent a bit or horning it, you do shine! However, hope my critiques are taken with a positive light by the team or her family. It's not necessary for her to visit the forum, and as a seven year old she would not even understand anything being said here! But her family might understand! To them I will say, to not take it personally.. and to keep on supporting her in her endeavors. However, if my points are taken in good heart and are worked on for her improvement then she'll be a star in no time! Even if improving means months or years later ! :) We get better because we try to work and improve.. it's the only way to go up ! :) :) :)

Granted she is a child still and it maybe challenging for her to do complex scenes and emotions and display them being so young! But, that doesn't excuse her acting capabilities and horning of her skills. When she is crying and talking, or expressing pain through her words, she sounds so extremely shrill.. her voice becomes squeaky and annoying and does not make the viewer feel connected or emphatic towards her. It's hard for the ears to hear her, and is a real turn off. She maybe going through many setbacks but.. when it comes to portraying in emotions or acting the part, she tends to overdo it ! Like someone on here says, showing happiness and excitement is one thing, but, how she throws it out, it makes it appear fake and overdone ! She works with both her expressions and her voice, but isn't able to learn the right balance to mix it together in the right way. She is a lead actor and in a way, she is leading the show therefore, she would have to step up and it's the responsibility of the director's, her trainers and producers to make sure she is doing her part correctly! The girl playing Amyra, she is also of the same age! She is doing a fabulous job!! With her voice modulation, expression and attitude !! It looks so real !! If she can do it, why not the chosen lead be taught?

She has room to improve but, she seems too young for this role, and not mature in acting, for a child artist.. :/

+1

I came to the forum after watching to express this exactly ,i think you said it all i have no need to make post.Agree with your everything.

The child always show single expression most of the time ,why the child always screeches while talking without using her natural voice,i don't understand her words at all.The girl do overacts in some scenes particularly while singing.

On the other side the child playing antagonist is fab👏.She shows a variable range of expressions and her dialogue delivery and her acting is no natural and cute. This girl should deserve to be the lead of the show in my opinion. If this girl is in kulfii place, this show would have been fabulous and loved by comparatively large number of people.I have to change the channel bcz of kulfii's screechy voice whenever i want to give it a try for other vamp child.

At the end of the day all will see the outcome. If the child could not do it she shouldn't deserve the lead character, they should select the deserved one,the kulfii child can improve and at the same time the child who is already improved would have been better choice for the show.

Regarding her parents,Didn't they able to see how she screeches while saying dialogues and it is not her natural voice and why can't they guide her to use her natural voice if they don't want criticism from the audience.

I agree with you, but I feel like, at time she is improving and getting better at her scenes, however, other times, especially when she was being scared of the 'ghost' her fear looked overdone and overacting to me! 🤢 The director should make sure that if she can't do a scene naturally, then to not overdo it. You can't be like, "Oh she's a kid, its okay" NO, its only okay when she is a supporting cast member, however, here, the entire show is about HER! SHE is the main lead character, around whom the story is basically revolving! So, great measure needs to be taken to see that she if not excelling in her scenes, at least she is not overdoing them, or making sure her acting are not appearing as overacting.

She maybe learning, but still... its important to keep these things in mind, as these are necessities for the success of the already successful, show!
