Another of my favorite Thyagaraja Kritis--- Adamodi Galada in Charukesi. This raagam is just so powerfully moving. Though many vocalists have rendered this Kriti, this remains my favorite rendition.

Lalgudi simply kills it on the violin! 👏

I love M. S Subbulakshmi's Balaji Pancharatnamala series. It plays on loop for days on end at my place. It has 5 volumes, and I cannot find it on Youtube anywhere !
I also love her 11 languages album. She sung in Sanskrit, Urdu, Bengali, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Gujrati, Hindi. There was supposedly another song in the album but I cannot remember the language or the song. Cannot find links to any of these on Youtube!

Balamurali Krishna's Utsava Sampradaya Kritis of Thygaraja is a great album! My favorites are Meluko Vayya and Uyyala looga vaiyya. But the entire album is lovely. The arrangement is so good.

Lizzie, I just listened to this..👏👏 I was in a different zone for that one hour 😃 ..loved the entire album, so much melody, and feels so peaceful - IDK how to appreciate it, but maza aa gaya yaar.. TFS ⭐️

@Angel: So glad you enjoyed the Utsava Sampradaya Krithis. I like Thyagaraja's rarer Krithis in rare raagams. Among vocalists, I've always been partial to MS and Dr BMK. But some of the newer artists are pretty good too. Unnikrishnan, Ranjani- Gayatri ( you should hear their RangaPuraVihara. It's superb!), Malladi Brothers (Ghanaraga Pancharatnas by them is very good), and at times Aruna Sairam (I like her abhangs and paasurams). Bombay Jayashree is pretty good too.

Again, I love Dr BMK's version since I'm more familiar with it, but this one by Maharajapuram Santhanam is brilliant too! He excels in the alaapanai.

Nannu Kanna Talli: Sindhu Kanada

This one is rare in that it's a Thyagaraja composition on Goddess Parvati. He usually always writes on Lord Rama.
