A special mention to this dialogue which is forgotten by all due to all the cuteness that rest of the today's episode offered.

We, as audience, blamed Neil for fighting for Mowgli's custody out of his ego. He indeed seemed to be on an ego trip then. But even after losing that ego today, he is still fighting for his rights. Something that we who claim to be Neil lovers couldn't see is seen by Avni, the true lover of Neil. Avni knows, remembers, understands and trusts that Neil never fights for a win but for the truth. She respects him for that. N for this unshakable trust of Avni, I respect her even more. You have the purest kinda love for Neil, girl.👏

PS: This is not a justification post and I do not expect anyone to get into the same debates as to Neil was genuine or egoistic. We all have had our own perceptions and opinions and discussions about the same. Some stuck to their opinion forever, some changed with time. But the bottomline is, what I have always been saying since a long, that the perception of characters is completely different than viewers. We all had our own reasons to blame Neil for being egoistic but today he proved that he was genuine, because he didn't take back the case even after softening towards Avni and if the spoilers turn out to be true, he'll also be upset for getting full custody since he wanted Avni too to get her rights as he fights for his own. And the character of Avni has a very unshakable and clear perception towards this issue that Neil isn't doing anything to defeat her but for what is true.

I already apologise if this offends anyone, but I hope we don't bring the long gone arguments on this topic again.

He will be upset, because in this melt down, he finally was able to see the old lonely Avni who was fighting the society for her rights. The Avni, whom he fell in love with and wanted to protect. The Avni for whom he fought along with her for her rights. Today he is fighting against her for the only thing she has, her child. She made him realize how she has no family and no hope for one. When her own father didn't want her , how can she expect anyone else to. How she has lost everything in this fight.

That is what is going to make him unhappy, because the angry Neil, that was blinded by hatred has slowly melted away during this court case. Now the calm Neil who can see things clearly, who loves Avni still is emerging and he cannot be happy when Avni is lonely and unhappy.

Neil has totally melted down towards Avni .
