Why the mitali hug became so insignificant

Avni showed neil how even till this day she respects him and trusts him, and by his face you could tell this meant a lot to him considering how he had assumed avni didn't care about him anymore. When mowgli told avni he had told neil to look for avni otherwise he won't talk to him, I think she must have believed he only came looking for her for mowgli's sake.

The icing on the cake was when neil didn't even notice mitali was in the garden of khanna house because he was busy warning his lawyer against speaking ill of avni against the court. I love how now the cv's are showing neil's concern for avni coming to the surface, with mitali bearing witness to it all, causing her insecurities to build up. I loved seeing that sickly-sweet smile no longer visible on her face, and being replaced with a morose and mascara smudged tearful look at hearing neil's protectiveness for avni. All these days she must have enjoyed seeing neil's "I hate avni" jaap, but she won't get the pleasure of hearing that anymore. 😆

I loved when he said that I would not want avni to be hurt again. Because that is who the real neil is; only has love for avni, not the hateful neil we were seeing. Neil needs to wake up and reflect on these moments he had spent with avni and how he felt during them despite his previous stance towards avni after he found out she was alive. Only then he will realise what a big blunder he has made to propose mitali, as he isn't over avni at all.

It was once neil was done with the phone call and saw that sulky face on that girl that he remembered his promise to her. I didn't even care at that point that neil grabbed her hand to apologise, then said sorry because he only went to look for avni, yadayadayada, because what we saw today between neil and avni, and neil's feelings clearly resurface for avni, everything he was saying to mitali was all just senseless pacification. Neil hadn't gotten to grips yet with his resurfaced feelings for avni when this scene happened with mitali as he had just returned, so it made perfect sense that even during this scene he was consoling mitali and not realising he doesn't actually want to marry her. Even neil's hug to her felt like nothing to me as it was so quick and abruptly broken from his side, almost as if he just wanted her to stop already with the ranting so surprise hugged her. 😆

It meant nothing to me, especially considering once the scene ended, neil was only thinking about avni in his room, and even looking at the space next to him where avni would lie on the bed and missing her presence next to him. The song sapna jahan is one of my fave songs, and it felt so good played on avneil. They were both struggling to get to sleep as they tearfully thought of one another.

For all these reasons, I couldn't even get that angry at the mitali-neil scene, and neil actually never answered mitali's question of whether he wants to break off the engagement and whether he is ready to move on. Before, till these scenes with avni, he has straight away answered these questions with a yes as he was angry at avni, but this time he completely ignored the question and simply just continued pacifying her. That court scene and his scenes with avni after that have really changed neil quite a bit now from what we have seen of him from the past few days, and I am so happy about that. 😳

I waited for this Neil since a long. I am ok if AvNeil are still separated but it gives such a soothing feeling that they both still care for eachother the most n they are their utmost priority😳

With this feeling, it really doesn't matter if Mitali or any xyz exists in the show
