Ever since Ekta Kapoor released the first poster of her new ALT Balaji show Puncchbeat starring Priyank Sharma, Harshita Gaur, Siddharth Sharma and Khushi Joshi, people have been anticipating if it's a spin-off of Karan Johar's Student Of The Year. I mean, even we to an extent got super SOTY vibes seeing the school with rather fashionable students on display. But guess, Puncchbeat is not on the lines of the KJo's film for Ekta just took to Twitter to clarify it all. Tweeting to Karan Johar, she wrote, "Hey @karanjohar For all d world who thinks I'm spinning off #soty #Punchhbeat is not that ! But since u r the father of this genre' right from #kuchkuchhotahai bless this show pls!n wish rosewoodians good luck !! We at #ALTBalaji love uuu. For those of you who don't know, Kaisi Hai Yaariyan fame Vikas Gupta is returning to direction with this show that deals with the hopes and aspirations of four youngsters from different backgrounds. While Harshita Gaur plays the role of a Kathak enthusiast. Priyank is a boxing champion. Khushi Joshi on the other hand will be essaying the role of Padmini and going by the poster it feels she is one of those school fashionistas who is always prim and proper and keeps her looks on point. She will not only keep the temperatures soaring but will also make you gasp for breath.
