Discussion-how much valid is ramayana now

Here are we all discussing the different episodes of ramayan, i myself aprticiparing in different episdoe discussions and otehrs, but for a second afetr i came across a brutal news i had to stop for a momenta ndpause and think, how much of the epic-the rules of law and justice, or care compassion, friendship, love is valid now at this time?

today 20th february2008, a truck driver on his way from **** to *** had run over a boy. Instead of handiing him to the police, the driver was burned alive by angry mob..

this has led me to question myself, here i am sitting at the comfortable drwing room of my house waching ramayan, maybe someof thsoe angry mob also watched Ramayana. but what effect does it have on us? how does the compassion, ability to forgive, the justice seeking nature of Lord Ram influnce us?how much valid is Ramayan now? for us?

I amy sound a lot irrelevent and obsolete, maybe because i am unduely moved my this incident, if so please forgiveme.

Is this what we r turning ourselevs in, some angry, revenge full peopel who cannot control themselves?
such people were termed rakshashas. r we turning ourselve like taht? what is becoming of teh good in us?

Ramayan is valid till eternity.U only need to hv right set of principles.The angry mob u hv mentioned, if educated and guided in proper way will definitely become better human beings.

i understand it, but what i amtrying to say is what driving us to to act like that, after the angry mob is guided properly they will become betetr human beings no doubt, but what about the man who was burnt alive? will he come back again?
