Madhuri Dixit to play dance teacher to Alia & Kiara in 'Kalank'?.

Madhuri Dixit is well known for her
dancing skills in Bollywood. And
now, latest reports seem to suggest
that she will put her well-acquired skills
to the test in the
upcoming movie, Kalank.'
According to reports, Dixit will
be playing the role of a dance teacher
to Alia Bhatt and Kiara Advani in the
film, reports Times of India.
The star had announced the
commencement of her segment of the
film last week with a social media post.
She will allegedly be showing her
dancing prowess in the drama that also
stars Varun Dhawan, Sanjay Dutt,
Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur.
Dixit and Bhatt will only begin
rehearsals for the same in a month.
While Advani will be seen in a cameo, it
remains to be seen if Dixit and Bhatt
will share the dance floor in the film.
Directed by Abhishek Varman, 'Kalank' is
scheduled to release in 2019.

I am not excited to watch Madhuri and Alia dancing together. If it was Varun and Madhuri, it would have been a different issue.

isnt that a really typical role for madhuri? i mean she has played a dance teacher before and has done roles as a dancer like aaja nachle, dil to pagal hai and even devdas, was expecting something a bit more different for her in the film

they always incorporated dancing to compensate for her severe lack in other departments..she would never be her roles..and even here they are doing the same

it hurts all the more here coz she is replacing sri..whose career was way more than just dancing..she would legit become her characters and a dance number was not always introduced to celebrate her dancing..in fact she will dance poor on purpose if the character requires..shashi in EV for eg..such was her talent..

I completely agree with you! The dance angle is overplayed and outdated for Madhuri. She had her day in the sun and needs to move on.

Plus it's not like her dancing has progressed, it's the same recycled things she's been doing for over 25 years. It's boring now. She needs to know that if she doesn't reinvent herself she won't get any movies at all

I don't know why people always rag on Madhuri's acting skills.She has never been a bad actress, yes, Shridevi was a better actress than her but that doesn't mean Madhuri is a shit actress. She was just as good as her contemporaries in her heydays and still is barring Shridevi. Her dancing is a lot more talked about because she is the best female dancer in the industry and is a legend at this point, thus more focus on dancing and I see nothing wrong with it. People need to give her a break. 🥱
