| Bidaai actor accuses airline of fraud Naveen Saini, who plays Vineet the brother of Ragini and Sadhna in Babul Ka Sapna Bidaai, has filed a case against an airline co accusing them of fraud. Naveen tells us, "I booked tickets for the Delhi-Mumbai flight and was coming back from a wedding in Delhi with my mother. It was a 2 pm flight from Delhi and the airline people called me and informed me that the flight has been delayed for 1 hour and 45 minutes so I reached there at 3 pm and they asked to me scan my luggage and collect my boarding pass. But when I went to the counter, I was told that I was late for the flight and that it had already taken off." An angry Naveen adds, "I had a big argument with them. The whole staff and the police came there but nobody apologised. Neither was I informed about the reporting time nor did the tickets have any information on it so I went to the police station and lodged a complaint against them. I have given all the information to my lawyer and now I am going to file a case in consumer court. It is clear cut cheating." Naveen adds, "What they generally do, which I came to know later on, is they sell those tickets to other travellers at higher rates. I paid Rs 2500 for the tickets and they were offering a refund of only Rs 225. By the time I finished everything it was 6 pm and I finally reached in Mumbai at 12 am." The delay even affected his work schedule. "Since I reached one day late I had to cancel my shoot. More over my mother was with me so it was hectic and risky for her. I have decided that I am not going to travel with that particular airline." Naveen Saini has done many shows, commercials and films before this. |
