The last Avatar of Lord Vishnu, named Kalki will be born to a brahmin family in a village named Sambhala, near the end of Kaliyug.
South Indian astrologers have analyzed Puranas extensively to try and foretell the time of birth of Kalki. The signs described in the Kalki Purana are as follows:
The moon will be in Dhanishtha nakshatra, Aquarius, suggesting he will be wealthy, acclaimed and swift in action and thought.
The sun will be in Swati, the nakshatra of the sword.
Jupiter will be in Purva Ashadha nakshatra, Sagittarius.
The Ascendant Lord will be in Purva Ashadha nakshatra, also Sagittarius, suggesting invincibility and early victory.
Saturn will be exalted in Libra, predicting a balance between justice and the sword.
Ketu, lord of horse-headed Ashwini, will be exalted in Scorpio, suggesting he will descend atop a great white steed.
His arrival is stipulated at a time when the earth is engulfed in crisis because of a tyrannical and powerful ruler. Kalki Bhagwan is said to be mounted on a strikingly beautiful White Horse, and is most often picturised in the foreground of a dark sky. This symbolises his coming at a time when darkness (evil) is the order of the day, and he is the saviour to rid the world of its sufferings. This is similar to the Parashuram avatar, where Lord Vishnu killed the atrocious Kshatriya rulers.
It is also said that Kalki avtar will come, when all the three rivers Saraswati, Yamuna and Ganga return to heavens ( dried).
Remember Kaliyuga is 4,32,000 years long. It began 5000 ago leaving us with 5,000 more years of Golden Age as we are living in the first 10,000 Golden years of this age where people will still have a little bit of conscience regarding the right and the wrong.
After these initial 10,000 year there will be total darkness as evil will take over the world.
After the birth of Kalki, he would remain in his village learning about the world and how it has fallen into darkness. At this time the 7 immortals namely:
- Sage Vyasa
- King Bali
- Hanuman
- Parshuram ( he will teach kalki the art of fighting and weapon handling capability)
- Ashvatthama
- Kripacharya
- Vibhishan
will teach Kalki about everything he needs to know, from the beginning of Sat yuva to the things he need to do currently to rid the world of the evil.
Kalki after getting trained will head north where he will defeat a king named Jin (from China). The battle will be fierce as Jin never follows any battle rules and has a very big army (reference to population boom of China and military strength).
From there he will go on to fight all the dictators and evil doers of the world and kill all of them.
With the death of these evil doers, the cycle of four yugas will again come in picture. Kalki would bring back the Sat yuga back where everything will start again.Ikshvaku named king will be 1st king of next satyayug.
The circle of life will be complete and the universe will start over.
To talk in terms of science Kalki Puran explains the events of creation and destruction with the story of Kalki Avatar. Time began with Big Bang, and would end with Big Crunch, only to be started again with another Big Bang. This circle is endless.
