3 times Khushi Kumari Gupta crossed the line

#1

Khushi Kumari Gupta couldn't believe this was happening to her again. Here, in a house full of happy people celebrating the new couple about to be bound by matrimony. Here, under the same roof where his wife lives, yearning for his company.

And she couldn't even scream.

His hands under her kameez felt the same as insects crawling on her skin. Khushi kept shaking. Nauseated. There were marks on either side of her arms. She wanted to throw up.

When she finally got the chance to run away from this pathetic excuse of a human being, Shyaam, she ran and she ran into none other than Arnav Singh Raizada. Always.

"Khushi what is wrong with you?!"

"Hu-humein maaf ki jiye Arnav ji" she mumbled without looking into his eyes and walked away without giving him a chance to talk back. Well, she actually wanted to hug him and tell him how she has been being groped- not once but on several occasions. But she was afraid of reasons more than one.

The next time it happened it was after her dance performance when she was changing her outfit in the room by the pool. It was becoming a regular ordeal and she had never felt more helpless before in her life.

"Khushi ji, agar aap seedhi baat se maan jaati aur humse shaadi ke liye haan kar deti" Shyaam whispered into her ears as he held her pressed against the wall, her hands behind her under his cruel grip with her back towards him. "Toh humein aise aapke saath zabardasti nahi karni padti."

"P-please. Chhor dijiye mujhe" Khushi felt his weight crushing him from behind. His breath under her ears- repulsive. All she could do was silently cry. She wanted to scream but there was no point. She was alone in here. There will be no help.

Or so as she thought.

When she realised she had been released from Shyam's captivity, she looked back to find Shyaam on the ground and Arnav, raging, throwing violent punches at him. She stood there immobile, watching as he kept kicking him, bashing him up and hurling abuses at Shyaam until the point where he fell unconscious.

And when Arnav Singh Raizada finally looked up at her, there was disappointment in his eyes.

"Arnav ji-"

"What on earth were you thinking, Khushi?" he spoke before she could finish. He wanted to scream at her but chose not to. He was hurt.

"Arnav ji aap hum-humein galat mat samjhiye. Ye-ye humaare saath zabardasti-" she broke down, letting herself lean on to his chest.

Why was she giving him an explanation? Did she really think he didn't notice her sudden change in behaviour? Or the fact that she'd have fresh red marks on her skin every other day.

He held her tight. "Aur tumne ekbaar bhi mujhe ye batana zaruri nahi samjha?"

Her mouth fell open as she looked up at him. He believed her?

"Humein laga aap humare baat pe yakeen nahi karenge." her words pricked him like pins.

"Aur agar main aaj yahan nahi hota, tab tum kya karti?" he rebuked. Arnav couldn't even get himself to imagine what all she had to go through all this while. Probably under his nose, and he couldn't do anything to stop it. He was mad at her, for her stupid ways. If only, she had spoken out loud. But mostly he was mad at himself for letting this go so far.

"Lekin..Anjali ji ko pata chala toh unhe bohot takleef hogi" her lips trembled as she spoke.

Oh, Khushi. When he looked at her face covered in tears and snot, he couldn't breathe. This girl is going to be the end of him.

Hey! My name is Rii and I'm new to this forum. I only started watching the show a week back(a little late to the party, yea I know I know) and god, I'm hooked.

This is going to be a series of 3 OS/Drabbles. The concept is inspired from a fanfiction I had read on a Korean drama I used to watch. I cannot recall the writer's name but I give him/her full credit of the concept. The stories in this series, however, are written by me.

Where is the goodnees/ greatness in letting someone sexually abuse you because if you shout out, someone else may get hurt or someone may not trust you...you fight back untill your last breath against your abuser, or else their atrocities only increase as they will feel powerful because your lack of retaliation and fear.

Yes!! that's what! by writing this i was trying to do justice to the theme. khushi should have fought back but instead she thought of how people would react and if they would believe her and what not. maybe il write a spin off OS where she fights back the piece of shit called Shyam. Thanks for reading!

Hi Rii, welcome to the forum 🤗
and this is a really good shot. I'm looking forward to more.
And I think Khushi's fear that he may not believe her could be understood. And unfortunately in real life, sexual abuse and domestic violence are not treated they way they should be. It's always the victim who suffer most and always blamed. Yet they should not hold back. You should always try to seek help.

Hey!!!

Welcome to the Forum, IPKKNDmania...🤗

sexual abuse- food for thought

its a reality where not only girls but boys are abused too...

you writing on it is a very good initiative.

I didnt come across many fictions on the same except a handful and I appreciate the writers to write on it...👏

Khushi should have slapped Shyam right on his face -but better said than done.

Atleast Arnav noticed it and stopped that man.. what will he decide for Khushi and Anjali???

Is it going to be series in continuation or on different incidents??

loved it!!!

The series won't be in continuation. Just different incidents! I'll post the next part in a while.

It was on Payal and Akash's reception ceremony, when NK had popped the question to Khushi. Both the Raizadas and the Guptas were stunned at NK's antiques, going all down on one knee and proposing marriage to Khushi Kumari Gupta. Everyone seemed elated, Khushi's buaji already commending NK for his chivalrous ways and Khushi, well Khushi was flattered if not anything more than that.

But there was one person in the room whose heart felt like it would cannonball out of his body any time now. Fearing he'd be unable to bear if Khushi accepted NK's proposal, he stormed out of the hall.

She can't do this to me.

What? What is wrong with me. I don't care if she agrees to marry that NK. She could marry whoever she wants for god's sake. He didn't care.

He decided to return to the party. He is Arnav Singh Raizada and his will power knew better than falling weak to stupid people and their stupid antiques. Stupid.

But who was he kidding. Every time he'd see them together, Khushi throwing her head back and laughing at something, obviously obnoxious that NK said, his breathing sulked. Arnav had no idea he was capable of experiencing this much of jealousy.

"Ab jo bhi kaho, ye dono saath mein bade ache lagte hain. He heard one of the guests talk. Control, Arnav. Deep breathe in, and out. He forced himself not to create a scene here but at that moment all he wanted to do was shout at all these people and shut them up. They don't know anything.

After the event when it was time for everyone to go home, Arnav couldn't hold back anymore. Before NK could ask Khushi to drop her home, he grabbed her hand and pulled her out of the house and straight into the car.

"Arnav ji! Ye kya badtameezi hain?" she shrieked as Arnav locked the doors and started the engine.

"Kyun? Problem kya hain?" he spoke gritting his teeth. His grip on the steering was so strong that his knuckles went white. Khushi feared he'd break the wheel. "Isse pehle toh main hi tumhe ghar drop karta tha. Ab kya problem ho raha hain?"

The car came to an abrupt halt as arnav screeched brakes. "Oh wait. How could I forget? Ab toh tum uss NK ki wife banne wali ho."

His eyes darted at Khushi. When she looked at him, she saw red. He was fuming with anger..and jealousy?

"Bas Arnav ji Khushi screamed. "Aap humse aise baat nahi kar sakte."

"Kya jawab dia tumne us NK ko?" he screamed back.

Khushi couldn't believe what she saw in front of her. A jealous ASR? Can that even happen?

"Aap ko usse kya?" she retorted, realising what is happening. Arnav Singh Raizada was jealous, and jealous beyond limits. "Aur waise bhi, Nanhe ji achhe insaan hain. Aur kitna khayal rakhte hain humari."

"Toh tumne han kaha." Arnav spoke with the same rough manner as before while starting the car. He pressed the accelerator pedal and the car starting moving at highest speed.

Arnav was hurt and hurt so bad that he admitted to himself that he was awfully jealous. How could Khushi do this? She has barely known this guy for a month and now she's agreeing to marry him?

Khushi felt like her heart was on her sleeves. Literally. She was unable to figure what is happening. On one side she was surprised at Arnav's jealousy while on the other side, scared at how he is reacting. He was losing his mind, and she hated high speed car rides.

When they reached her house, Khushi felt like her soul settle back into her body. She huffed and looked at Arnav who was sitting stern.

"Good bye, Khushi Kumari Gupta. And congratulations" he muttered without looking at her.

"Aapko yaad hain uss din aap humse shart lagaye thhe?" she spoke. Arnav listened, still not knowing where this was heading to. But when he felt her face dangerously close to his and her warm breath over his cheeks, his eyes widened.

Khushi kissed him. A light peck on his left cheek, barely lasted for a second. But for Arnav, time had stopped still for the first time.

And he was lost.

"Dekha Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada Khushi whispered into his ears. "Akhir mein jeet meri hui."

Arnav turned to face her but she was already unlocking the door. He wanted to grab her hand and pull her back but she was already out, running, her anklets tinkling as she did.

Of all the things that Khushi Kumari Gupta was, predictable was not one of them.
