Solid episode tonight, it was expected we would see Neil and Avni go through this stage because like Avni said each action has a reaction or something to that point (she said this to Sayesha last week) Avni was bound to pay the consequences of keeping the truth from Neil, it would've looked unrealistic had Neil said hey we have a child lets reunite. Neil is completely justified in being pissed off and feeling deprived of his rights to his son, what he is not justified in is his approach. Neil is ready to do the exact same thing he feels Avni did to him, he is not doing what is in the best interest of his son nor is he interested in what Prakash and Mitali are trying to say. Neil is being stubborn, he is being impulsive and its that impulsiveness that is going to cost him.
The Choti Avni scene with Avni was good although I did not agree with the whole illegitimate dialogue, Avni needed to see how her actions have impacted her son. Avni wanted Neil to move on, she kept the truth from him about their child and now it is lead to a huge mess and her son is paying the ultimate price in this tug of war.
I really have no sympathy for Mitali, this girl has zero self respect for herself because anyone can see what Neil is doing but I will say this about her she was bang on in what she told Neil about Mowgli. Neil thinks he can seriously win over his son's love by being spiteful towards Avni it is just going to make Mowgli hate him, in today's episode Mowgli already said he does because he did overhear when Neil told Avni to leave. Mowgli is not going to take kindly to the fact Neil is trying to take him away from his mother and worse trying to replace her in his life. Neil will repent, I feel his dialogues in the previous episode foreshadow the truth will come out to him by next week. There is not much time left so yes this won't drag further, once he learns the truth he is going to hate himself for putting Avni through this.
One of the things that interested me in this episode was Shweta's reaction, this is a woman who has been harping about Mitali and pushing Mitali and Neil together but today she looked the least happy could it be she is coming around? I feel the Khannas won't support Neil in this custody battle, yes they were in court in the precap but I don't think they are against Avni here they would not support Neil spiting Avni when it directly hurts Mowgli.
Honestly this track has potential and as disappointing as Neil was today in his approach I cannot say its completely out of character for him because he is impulsive when it comes to Avni, he is out to prove a point and its going to lead to impacful reveal. I just wish we had more time to watch things unfold, I am sure this track would have worked for TRP audience and we could have the best of Neil fighting for his love. If only we could get an extension and have these leads shine. Really hats off to Zain and Aditi for their dedication and professionalism and congrats to them for reaching a milestone of completing 300 episodes!
