I need to write this while the emotions are still fresh within me. I don't really review episodes, but I wanted to talk about the one today!
Execution: 100% on point.
Actors: 110 % on point, especially Zain Imam. Wow, this guy can emote and his eyes are a blessing. Really, I can't stop gushing over his eyes since yesterday. He portrays emotions with his eyes and nails it every single time.
I want to make a special mention for Kabir- being so little, he really got to me today.

The only person who I felt bad for today was Mowgli.

Avni is justified in her anger- She admitted to being wrong. She told Neil that when she found out she was pregnant, she was in Kashid and couldn't come back. To which Neil countered, "I would have come get you with the entire police force, had you made one call. But you didn't."

Again, both are justified in their soch at this point. Full justice done to the scene. I loved that they had moved to their bedroom to discuss this, and there was no scene infant of the guest- something we never really see in ITV! Neil thinks she didn't believe in him to protect her and their child. A challenge to his male ego.

This is where I wanted Avni to say."it was never about you not being able to protect me..." I wish she had said those words and clued Neil in.

Avni has always been the strong silent type and sometimes I don't like that about her. People, especially Neil say things to her and she bears it all. She never says "oof". This stems from all of her childhood trauma. Yes, Avni rebelled in the past. But she never verbally confronts people.

I felt bad for Neil too. This guy has been receiving shock after shock after shock. And not little ones. These are major shocks that Avni/life keeps throwing his way.

Is Neil delusional? Yes. Shock has given way to anger. Neil as an angry person only reminds me of a volcano. No one knows when he's going to erupt. And today, he erupted. I wanted to see him erupt when he found out about Mowgli because he had a right to know about his own son.

Honestly, when he told Avni that she's a 'dhokebaz,' I really wanted to laugh because Neil, you knew she was a thief when you married her. You knew she was a flight risk. Why are you surprised? These are the things that made you fall in love with her!

Why I said Neil was delusional? He's only kidding himself when he says he hates Avni and doesn't love her anymore. Blah blah blah. This is where I liked Mitali today. Mitali was what Neil needed to hear in this moment. But, like I said Neil is a volcano. He's going to erupt somehow tomorrow and we know he's going to force himself to SHOW Avni that she doesn't affect him.

Bottom line: Anything Neil does from hereon, is to SHOW Avni. His argument why they need to go ahead with the engagement is because of Avni. Not because he loves Mitali; nor is it because his family wants him to.

Mowgli: He was the one person I felt bad for the most today. This poor child finds out he has an entire family. His joy knows no bounds; yet he wasn't able to properly reunite with them.

In the clash of egos of parents, the children suffer the most. Today was a classic example of this. This is where NK has always been exemplary. They always bring in the real issues.

Neil went to hug his son but Avni pulled him away. Wrong? Yes, but only in Mowgli's perspective in my opinion. He was the one who was so excited to meet his Superman, aka his dad. I felt bad for him there. I felt bad the entire time he cried for his Superman. I felt terrible- no child should have to go through this.

One thing that I want to add about Neil Khanna. He's human. We've all said in the past " I want my husband to be like Neil" " Get me a Neil Khanna, he's goals!" that is still true today. Not for a split second, did he doubt Avni's character. He didn't even entertain the thought that this child might not be his. Instead he thought about the evidence and concluded that Mowgli was indeed his.

This is the ACP Khanna. Yes, he's hurt and he's flawed. But, the gist of his character hasn't changed.

ADDITION/THEORY:

There's an OLV posted by Aquib is Mitali stopping a van with kids. The kids inside don't look familiar to me; I think this is a scheme that's happening in the background. I think this is where Kamini and her lawyer come in.

Kamini is trying to trap Avni in a case, and I think this case is of child trafficking. That's why the lawyer was pushing to have the kids be adopted w/o Avni's knowledge today.

I think this will all tie in to the Mowgli's attempt at kidnapping. Neil and Avni will be forced back together this way.

Well said yes Neil is all about showing Avni, he wants to prove a point but he is fooling no one and thankfully that includes Mitali who needed a reality check. Neil never said he wants to marry her because he sees a future with her it was all about not wanting Avni to win and that right there should be where Mitali says no to the engagement and wedding, at the very least she should say postpone.

I agree for me Neil Khanna is still goals the way he handled Avni not many in his position would do so, he did not manhandle her, he did not question her character nor did he cross the point of no return. I was extremely impressed with the writing for Neil here because he managed to stay calm despite the volcano that was erupting in him, he was able to tell Avni where she went wrong despite understanding her desires to protect their family she indeed hurt them all.

Mowgli your heart broke for him, the way he screamed he wanted to go to Superman and the Khannas watching on helplessly was heartbreaking.

Based on the new OLVs Avni gets suspicious of Kamini and the lawyer which is great but it also increases the danger. There is no telling what Kamini will do next so yes Avni and Neil will be working together again soon.

Emotions are running high coz no one saw this side of Neil and no one thought he will go on with his marriage plans after this truth came out . That's why many feel he is out of character . As for Avni nothing is gonna break her to tell the truth to Neil and family . But Neil even in his anger didn't question her character or badmouth her or manhandle . That is where he stands .

Zain 👏 I salute him . He can pull through anything and everything . He could make us cry with him and feel his raw emotions just through his eyes .

We can give 1000 justifications for their actions but they are wrong in certain actions which I can never digest . Like Avni choosing to hide Mowgli from Neil n lying to Mowgli about his fatherand Neil choosing to goon with his wedding

Why is Avni being arrested by Mitali .? For running away from Mumbai .

True many did not expect that of Neil but what one has to keep in mind he is not in the right frame of mind at the moment, he is driven by anger, by betrayal. Neil is acting on impulse which is not out of character for him, this is after all the same guy who was ready to sign divorce papers after Avni disobeyed him and went to RM. Reality is Avni affects Neil like no one else can, she gets under his skin and she has wounded him deeply.

I agree about Avni, nothing is going to break her she will do whatever it takes to keep her perfect family intact. Avni would never want to reveal the truth about who killed her mother because it would come at a cost, she knows this family won't be able to cope with such a truth so in her mind no good would come out of this truth being exposed and I don't blame her. As destiny would have it though everything is coming out, nothing is in Avni's control anymore and I feel the dialogues Neil told Avni about going ahead with the engagement and rushing to get married next week is foreshadowing him learning the truth soon about his father. I don't know how he will learn about it but it will come out.

Where is Avni being arrested by Mitali? I haven't seen anything like that, In the OLVs I watched Avni seeks Mitali's help after she gets suspicious of Kamini and the lawyer.

His dialogue when he say "I can hold him , teach him to walk' was heart breaking . but again no body talk to Avni and ask her what she did in all those years. they never have time in peace to resolve their issues. My heart goes for pillu, he is becoming sandwich between Avneil

She could have but she did not and that hurt Neil even more because he cannot understand what is driving Avni's actions right now, why can't she be real with him? We as viewers know there is more to it but for Neil all he sees is someone he loves who wants to distance herself from him and their child. It is going to take more than Neil's dialogues to break Avni because she has spent her entire life wearing that mask where she can act like everything is okay but she is completely breaking on the inside. The scars run so deep for her, she thinks of herself as a bad omen and is doing everything possible to keep her perfect family intact. At this point it is easier said than done for Avni to simply speak the truth without causing more damage.

Mowgli is the victim in all this, this poor child does not understand what is happening and like his father has been dealt one shock after the other. Neil and Avni are going to have to work together because their actions are going to impact their child the most here and maybe that is when cooler heads will prevail and they will realize in this clash of egos and stubbornness there is now an innocent party facing the impact of it all.

This is not about supporting Neil or Avni. This is about showing that love is not everything. Love without trust cannot survive. It's not about right or wrong! As we age in life we understand this and I am encouraged that the writers are finally trying to inject some reality into the show.

Will it hurt to play out and watch? Will either Avni or Neil make "bad" decisions? You bet!
You need a role model? Listen & learn what not to do & why the truth always sets you free. No matter how strong we are "no man/woman is an island!"

But this is what happens when trust is broken. You lash out! You sometimes rush into rebound relationships just to feel "human" again. You would do anything to stop the pain.

Oddly death was easier to handle than betrayal. Hence Neil was in pain when he thought she was dead but at least he had solace in having had her unconditional love. The thing is death is final and here he has a chance again but he needs time.

We want Avni to speak up but how can she when she's so broken and racked with guilt! Time, she needs time and the reality of life to really make her understand the cocoon she was living in has been broken and she has no where to hide.

Time. Isn't that what we all need? And, a chance to make amends for mistakes!

If you don't watch you will miss out on some of the best acting on TV right now! Just hang in there, it will all work out!

I was very pleased with how the past two episodes have been written, the writers are finally getting the Avni and Neil fans have known and connect to. You've summed up everything well!! I am waiting for Avni's breakdown she needs to let everything out because she still has so much bottled up inside of her. Things will indeed work out, Avni will be reunited with her family soon enough and wounds will start to be healed

NK shines when it comes to how they've written these characters, we could have easily seen the Khannas make a scene but nope we saw them voice their disappointment without even raising their voice. It was short and the point when it came to Avni and the way AvNeil spoke things out was done in such a mature manner. Really hats off to the cast!

There was no arresting Avni.
It was her stopping a van of kids, which I think are being trafficked like Jeetu from Avni's orphanage is being trafficked. This is where Avni will come to Mitali and ask for help.

And because Mowgli was almost kidnapped then I think Neil will be involved as well. Seems like Kamini is doing what villains do best, and that's pushing Neil and Avni together again.

Mandy- Definitely agree. Men in Neil's shoes would have done much worse than what Neil did today. This is the Neil Khanna we all love. There's self control even in anger. There's no manhandling, there's no raising of hands, there's no name calling and there's no doubting the character of his lady! 👏

I will say Neil is one of the best male leads written in ITV! I'm so impressed by him and a lot of men can learn from him.

I really want someone to sit Avni and Neil down to rationalize with them. I want Prakash to be that person. Take them to a neutral ground and explain the reaction that their action will have on Mowgli, and hope that they understand.

That's what we all expected of Kamini when she first entered the show and finally she is being put to excellent use here. Avni is being attacked from all sides but Neil will be her shield once again. Neil will never allow anyone to destroy Avni's reputation or what she has done for these kids. I think Neil will make the connection that Avni has not made in regards to Kamini being the one behind Mowgli's kidnapping, Avni being drugged. It will be a case of both putting their intelligence at work to battle a common enemy. Plus I do believe Avni is not going to leave this at the hands of Mitali to deal with, she will take matters into her own hands and land herself in danger.

Nailed it when it comes to Neil, what I loved about him was not only the fact he did not question Avni's character which I never expected him but its how composed he was while speaking to Avni. Neil did not raise his voice and he actually listened! Neil let Avni say her piece and while it did nothing to cool him down he did tell Avni no matter what she could have always come back to him, he would have been there for her in a heartbeat but the fact she did not is what hurts him so bad. He feels she does what she does best and that is take matters into her own hands, do things her way and not think of what the consequences will be. It was never about not understanding the fact she tried to keep them safe, he gets that but she did it alone and in the process inflicted so much pain on the people she chose to protect. It was perfectly written and enacted by Zain and Aditi!!

I really hope the Khannas sit both down and let them know this is having a negative impact on their son, you can see how helpless they felt seeing Mowgli being taken away and wanting to go to his father. The last thing the Khannas will want is for this child to be caught up in a war of egos, he will be the common ground Shweta spoke about.
