Zoya held Aditya's hand as he was leaving the cabin to look for candles, stopping him. He looked at her, surprised. She realized what she had done and quickly let go of his hand. "I-I'm sorry. I'm really scared of the dark, please don't leave me here alone. Can we look for the candles here? I'm sure there are candles here somewhere." Aditya didn't say anything, his lips were pressed together slightly smiling, he simply nodded and they started to look around for candles. There were riots in Mumbai and a curfew was placed. The police ordered everyone to lock the doors of their restaurants, shops, or offices and stay indoors. Zoya had sent her staff home while she remained at ZOSH, Yash's company. Then, Aditya came in as he was stranded in the city as well and it was the closest place he could go to stay for the night.
They looked for candles on opposite sides of the cabin. There were small cabinets on either side of the office filled with Yash's stuff that neither Zoya nor Aditya looked into before this. The cabinet Aditya was rummaging had work files and Yash's office related belongings whereas the cabinet Zoya was looking into had all of his personal items. It would've been rather ironic if they looked into opposite cabinets. Zoya still had the flashlight on her phone on, she finally found the candles and as she took them out, a file that was stuck under it came along with the candles. She separated the file from the candle and while putting it back she realized that the candle was covering up a sticker, one that had POOJA written on it with what looked like a black sharpie. Zoya sat there still, shocked and afraid of what she was going to find there. Was it true? Did they really have an affair? Was Yash really cheating on her? Was Aditya right? Aditya broke Zoya out of her trance. "Did you find the candles?" She responded with a simple, "Hmm.." He looked at her, "Zoya?" She finally got up from the floor and said, "Yeah, I found one candle."
Zoya placed the file on top of the cabinet behind her and tried lighting the candle but couldn't. Her hands couldn't stop shaking, they were jittery due to the file she found. Aditya noticed what was going on and started to get slightly worried because Zoya started to look pale, "Zoya, are you okay?" She nodded while still trying to light the candles, now frustrated as she wanted to look into the file immediately. "Here, I'll do it", Aditya said while taking the candle and matchstick from Zoya. He lit the candle with her help, she had to cover it as it kept burning out. Once that was done, Aditya placed the candle on the other cabinet's tabletop while Zoya took the file and went to the desk which was on the opposite side of the cabin, away from the sofa and cabinet's. After placing the file on the desk, she took out her phone to on the flashlight but to her dismay, her phone went dead. "Aditya, can you please on the flashlight of your phone. I found a file that I really need to check." He realized the urgency of the situation from her tone and quickly turned it on without arguing. He went over to the desk and held it for her while she opened the file. The first thing she took out of the file were pictures and both of them were looking at them now. Aditya was confused but then when he saw who were in these pictures, he quickly realized what was going on. They were pictures of their dead spouses, Yash and Pooja, together. Zoya kept looking through the file and now found love letters between the two. "They wrote to each other?" Aditya scoffed. He was clearly disheartened, there was still a piece of him that hoped the affair didn't actually happen and that his wife and best friend was faithful to him, only him and no one else. All of this proved the opposite, however.
"What are those?" Aditya asked Zoya. "What?" She wasn't sure what he was talking about, she couldn't think straight. "Those papers in the file." Zoya opened the file for the last time and took the two papers out. Her hands were shaking and now she was slightly furious. "He bought a house in Greece for the two of them, it's under Pooja's name. He left me with a bankrupt company, he left his family with nothing, but he bought her a house." Zoya was livid. She couldn't take this anymore. "What's the other paper?" Aditya was eager to see what else was left. Zoya put the property papers down and revealed reports that had Pooja's name on them. She was shocked, tears streamed down her face as she handed him the paper. "I'm sorry," Zoya said to him. "She was pregnant with his kid," Aditya started laughing cynically. Zoya was shattered and hearing him say it out loud made it even worse because now he was right, the proof was right in front of her and she couldn't deny it anymore. Yash had cheated on her with Aditya's wife, Pooja. It was a truth that would forever change their lives for better and for worse.
