Why men dominate the industry?

Why do men dominate the industry? Any guy would say that he can't even get enough likes or comments when they post a pic or status on SNS, whereas if a girl does, she gets hundreds of likes and comments instantly and she would even get too many friend requests and her inbox be overflowing with messages. There's obviously more female loving than male atleast in real world and movies except TV as mostly females watch dramas. So shouldn't that translate to movie theatres and stardom of women? I should think men would throng theatres just to watch a heroine even more than women going for the hero. Of course men go for heroes and women for heroines too and story etc. But the kind of super stardom that men enjoy is far greater than women. Not just film's box office but fanpower too.

For Cinema atleast, the stories are written around a man. So naturally men get all the roles and dominate the screen
