Part 34 - geet too was same adamant. She was showing him it was easy to be with her or to end with her. Seems she was too much hurt that he wanted to end their relation and she was helping him in that too, without her willingness. She was trying to be strong and show him that she was not at all affected by this. Maybe that's why she posed that act with Aryan so that it will easy for maan to cut off all ties. But now he was restless that it was really ending.

Part 35

He missed, the Geet that he fell asleep talking to over the phone and in bed, the Geet who playfully gets carried away with hugging and kissing him. Jis ki zuban jaan kahte kahte taak thi nahi thi. Who wouldn't leave a chance to hold his arm.

They walked in like a couple greeting the relatives. Geet felt right at home with them. She instantly played with the little ones. All of them seem to remember her from the wedding. They were with the family all day, but somehow, they avoided each other. Both of them avoided any confrontation.

Maan felt he had enough and he needs to find the right time to tell his parents that they were over. He knew they would be very concerned. He tried to narrate his part in his head.. He would tell them that they decided to remain friends and that is why she still came with him.

He found his mother in the kitchen. He just held her pallu like, he always does when he is nervous to express himself.

Priya - kya baat hain Maan?

Maan cleared his throat - ji ma wo..

Priya - U know what I am not that worried whatever it is.. U know why.. She smiled so contented

Because my Maan is with a woman who will take care of him better than I hoped.
He looked away from her guiltily. He took a deep breath.

Maan - Maa wo main aur Geet. Wo hum saat nai,.. Just then Geet burst into the room with Nt's child.

Geet - maa dehko.. He recognizes me.
She rocked the little baby talking in animated way. Then she turned to them.

Priya was smiling at her widely.
Maan thought to himself maa!! What the hell?
he narrowed his eyes - Why are you calling her maa, he demanded.
Priya - I told her to beta. Ek saal main u guys will get married anyways

Maan got pissed off - Who said we're getting married in a year's time?
Priya - Geet did. Main ne uss se pucha tha when is the big date is? and she said she's just given you a year to tie all the loose ends in your life aur mujhe nahi lagtha ki ek saal bhi laage ga tumhe.

Maan stared at Geet. How could she tell my mother that? She knew he was going to tell them that we're over!
He glared at her. She gave him that crooked smile. Oh my my.. Even at this frame of mind.. All he wanted to do was pull her cheek and kiss them.

And Geet instead of being fazed by his anger, she winked at him and turned to Priya.

Geet - haan maa, I can't wait to call myself Geet Maan Singh Khurana

priya laughed - We'll always be thankful for the day you met Maan. jab Nt...

Priya just left it there.

Geet - koi baat nahi maa.. Main sab jaanthi hoon Nt aur us ne jo kiya. Aur hum mile bhi ussen doran the. wasien bhi wo uski loss hain aur meri.. She looked at maan and my gain. Maan is a precious.

Thai jis just came in - You're too sweet, Geet. And you know we already consider you a part of this family.

Maan was so mad right now.. Oh great! Just perfect!
His mom turned to him - aur tum mujhe kya kah rahen the beta

Geet sweetly came around him - haan ji maan, aap kya kah rehen the.. Still cuddling the baby in her hand.

She had turned all this is into some game..

she smiled .. like she won this one.

There was no way he would tell his mother that they were over after all this.
He was fuming. How could she make this so hard for him?

He just shook his head - kuch nahi maa, wo.. Muje bhahar jana hain.. Yanhi garden main



Perfect he saw his dad sitting with his newspaper. That was dad.. He always escaped the family crowd and come to the garden with his paper.

Maan - How are you Dad? And anniversary .. aur all the family gathering..

Dad - I am good Maan.

He looked so happy - I'm really happy, beta. 30 saal ho gayen saadi ko . And I'm still in love with priya.. Just the same.. Actually even more if that was possible.

Maan - but dad you don't like all this celebration

Dad - but your mom loves it, and I would do anything to bring that smile on her face. Aur mera kya hain.. I have this newspaper to escape..

His dad laughed - mujhe iss baat ki jaada khushi hain ki you found yours, too.. pointing at Geet who was now talking animatedly to Chacha ji still cuddling the little one in the other end of the lawn.

Dad - tum bhahut khus nasaib ho.

Maan sarcastically added - because she is Geet HANDA

Dad - You're very lucky beta, she didn't have to be rich as long as she's in love with you. But looks like you got lucky in both departments. He laughed wholeheartedly
Maan took a deep breath. He opened his mouth to tell him that they were over. Then he looked at Geet. She looked genuinely amused when she laughed at chacha ji's joke.
Dad - That's woman is definitely the one in love!! In love with you!!

I didn't really like Nt that much, but you loved her and you were happy when you told us you were engaged. When she cheated on you, I wanted to shoot myself to have failed in my upbringing with Dev

Maan was shocked to hear that from his dad. He had not known that's how he felt when he found out about Dev and Nt. phir jab humne aapko shaadi main dehka happy and in love.. ... with a Geet who is more in love with you than Nt ever was... and trust me Geet is more of a woman who will keep the Khurana family together. She not only keeps you happy she tries to respect all are feelings. And I couldn't be any happier this day. I'm happy about my marriage to your mother, and I'm happier to see my guror my Maan and my only son (Maan gasped his dad almost disowned Dev) My Maan will get what he deserved.. That is the best.. I am sure your marriage with Geet will be more happier than mine and your moms.

He knew he should have spoken. he knew he should have ended it there. But instead, he stood there quietly, tears brimming in his eyes unsure.

Oh my Maan is not only hurting Geet, but looks like his family will be more hurt when they will know the truth. I only pray that some how this secret is not reveal to them
