Its absolutely fine how you feel about it because we all feel the same way. Its not about demeaning but its about making it the only thing an Adarsh Bharatiya Nari should do.I am okay as long as they t reat household chores a part of life but they treat it as a sacrifice they do towards their respective families but who asked them to do the sacrifice at all? when men go out and earn for the family, its a duty they do towarda their family and therefore deserves no respect. However when women work for their family its a supreme sacrifice. Who decided that?Wonder what Babita does apart from shopping and splurging on Iyer's money whole day...no wonder she married Iyer 😉 and apart from Madhavi Bhabi all the women are shown doing is buying tarkari and cooking...sorry not demeaning that task in anyway...but nowadays times are changed...we would like to see GD Woman going out to work and also show how they manage both House and office work well. That would be a welcome change.
Household chores is so womanly thing that men would rather die than helping their wives. Bhide for example is openly humiliated for this but he never responds by saying that his wife is a working woman and that they both have to help each other. He instead tries to hide the fact that he helps his wife.
And not the women dont understand their worth here. They want their voices to be heard, they voluntarily participate in every meeting or function, asks for their rights as a member in the society or join hands for a social cause but will still ask for gifts from their husbands for the supreme sacrifice they make for them. In between they will argue to have a separate party because men are going for a men's only party. This is only when they demand equality. Thy are otherwise upper class citizens while their husbands are the working class who pay taxes for being married to them.
What is the purpose of a separate Kitty Party when the same women go to shopping, outing and beauty parlour together.? Instead why not use the time for doing a small time business. Like say making chocolates like they did for Sonu or selling Chaniya cholis like they did during Navratra in Ahmedabad track.
