What was going on in Kabeer's mind at the Waalima

I am just putting down my random thoughts on what led to the extreme reaction by Kabeer.

- In the last couple of days, Kabeer had been attracted to Zara's beauty, her selfless attitude. He had been developing soft feelings for her which his Maulvi mind was not able to accept. This led to a tussle of his internal feelings. Now coming at the Waalima, he was standing right next to the lady who he was attracted to, the religious leader comes up and tells him that it's time they also come close and then holding the Lady's hands - It was symbolic of him saying that U r mine. (PS: I don't know if you guys noticed the way Kabeer entwined his fingers over Zara - Have a look at the scene again :p )

- To top it all, his friend Imran starts projecting the journey of Zabeer- moments which he had shared with Zara, moments which they had shared as friends (away from the family rituals), moments where they expressed themselves. He didn't want these personal clippings, the memories of which were creating a havoc in his heart lately to be shown to the public; these were his moments and wanted to stop such a display of moments which had unknowingly become close to him.

Could be that this inner turmoil where he is trying to control his attraction for Zara led to the obedient son behaving in such a violent manner. Also childhood pictures would not warrant such an aggressive reaction by someone as peaceful as Kabeer unlike Zara who is shown as an impulsive person.

Let me know your thoughts.

I ALSO THOGHT kabir doesnt like their moment videos known to everyone
i am sure now he will never tag his friend with hi who take videos anytime anywhere without asking his permission
i really dont like imran for this
but inspite of wtching their videos nooone especially zeenat and rukshar were able to understad that their relationship has come a long way ad its not some enemy wala fight especially from kabir side
kabir has accpeted zara long ago and tootally when she became his wife officially and zara one ssupport in favour of anything will make him do anything
like today if kabir will ask zara to sleep on same bed she will atart her argument but if zara ask the same from kabir he will be okay with it

I guess Kabir is a very private person in general and does not like his personal moments and photos to be out in public. While he didn't like his moments with Zara being shown... he actually burst in anger and put fire on the screen when his childhood pics were being displayed. I guess he found it embarrassing to have them displayed in front of Zara and everyone that way.

To me, his anger wasn't about religion or Zara but about the intrusion of his privacy; which is why I felt Zara was wrong here in trying to argue about how this was not wrong from a religious point-of-view. Because it doesn't matter if Kabir's beliefs are right or wrong but the fact that he was uncomfortable with it should be respected. Although yes, him burning the screens was a bit extreme.

I agree with you completely! He wasn't just mad that Zara was laughing, he was mad that everybody around him were laughing especially at his childhood photos without his clothes etc. For a maulvi like him as well, to have everyone see his interactions before marriage must feel quite terrible for him too.

In general, Kabeer has always been a very introverted person. He keeps his words in as much as Zara brings her words out. In most arguments, he probably speaks 25% of the words or less as compared to her. There are many instances where he can say something but he doesn't.

For a person like him to get angry? I completely accept it. Especially on his wedding day, to see people laughing at him must be embarassing. Regarding Zara's words, we should celebrate...but like she said, within reason. If the guy himself isn't enjoying this, isn't it unreasonable?

Also, yeah, he could've just shut down the laptop or something. Burning the screen was a tad overdone, and his poor saas-sasur were so stunned that what kind of guy have we gotten our daughter married too lol
