Naamkaran was all about Avni 's quest and yearning for a family, which she found in Khannas after she married Neil.. So much so, that she jumped at the chance to forgive bebe and Shweta about the whole Najayaz and Ganpati situation, despite being upset.
She left Neil the day after they were together because the one relation she wanted the most, her father, was in trouble... Even if she told Neil, his duty would have never allowed him to not arrest his father, that's who he was... He only let case 123 be because he realized nobody personally benefitted from it... Plus the video made it impossible for Avni to even try and persuade her rule abiding husband to save his father... She must have found out about being pregnant a month later, after seeing Vidyut being jailed.. If she came back, even for her kid, Vidyut just needed to release the video... Her battle was to choose a father for her kid or the man who was now her father, her only true father... Put in a same situation, won't a lot of us choose our fathers?.. Save the man who is our everything? Even Avni started loving Prakash way before she fell for Neil..
Her decision to let Mowgli not call her mother is the same reasoning... As time would go on, even he would have asked for his father like she had, how would she have explained to a little kid that she is pretending to be dead? It's enough complicated for a kid to understand his parents divorce, and this was more absurd from his point of view... She taught him to be more adjusting so that the day the truth breaks, he can adjust to it or atleast try...
As to her dialogue about loving Sayesha more, I think that was just the way the CVs wanted to introduce the idea of Mowgli, the missed meaning.. When everyone would know the truth, someone will remember the line and put it together...
I actually like the track because it highlights the true nature of the show, and also the core emotion that is Avni.. Didn't Neela always say that Avni was the broken the girl who just wanted her father? So this is true Avni, not the butchered version, the Avni who is ready to even give up the right to be a mother just to have her father safe and happy, the father she couldn't save before when Dayawanti killed him.. Her being all cold and asking Neil to move on is because in his this anger, she knows now that the day Mowgli's truth came out, Neil would never forgive her, even the faintest chance won't be there.. She knows now that truth won't remain hidden... She wants Neil to move on so that when he knows the truth, he has someone to control his hatred, to counteract it, like he did for her when she was fighting Dayawanti, like Neela got Avni married to Neil because she knew he could save her from the pain and hate, something Avni can see Neil going through in his hatred now, which would only increase..
I do like the story here honestly, because even before, the one thing that wasn't tackled was how far Avni would go, her intensity and drive wasn't challenged by Neil as he couldn't stop her from going after Juhi also... This track would be about hate but would also be about Avni realizing she doesn't have to be the sacrificial lamb to make everyone happy...
OK am done ranting!!
