Right On! 👏

The way Pari was mocked and bashed inspite of being a Horror genre film with no hit songs...also it released in less theaters and had low hype/ promotions.

Yeah, A rated movies lose half the audience, the family audience
and Holi is wrong day to release a Horror movie, people want family genre movies to get entertained on Holi
my sister watched Pari and she liked it, I trust her judgement ...its more of a horror/ romance story

Absolutely love this thread..Give commercial masala movies to strong female actors, they will nail it
Vidya did in TDP
Kangy in TWMR

I would love for the Indian audience to embrace female actors but I don't think it's ready yet. Only really well written, acted, and produced female-centric films with a magic "click " factor with the audience come anywhere close to the money that idiotic movies of male stars can make much more regularly. TWMR was a sequel to a successful well scripted, well acted, award winning comedy and made a lot of money. Baaghi 2 is (I guess) a sequel but otherwise nothing else similar to TWMR and will probably make as much money. TWM and TDP made far less. Great female centric films make about as much as weak male star's niche films. I don't think that says anything about females actors. Sadly it says a lot about the ticket buying Indian audience.

I still don't support equal pay where a Daisy Shah wants to be paid same as Salman.
But from these stats, it's certain that Anushka is a bigger star than Varun and should get same or more pay. Deepika should get more pay than Shahid and Ranveer and not just same as them.
