Deepika Padukone and the red carpet are a match made in sartorial heaven. Whether she is channelling an unapologetically sexy vibe or going down the minimal route, the Padmaavat actor knows how to get people talking. In the past couple of years, Padukone has had a taste of global success, which has only made her lust-worthy wardrobe even stronger. Some of her favourite red carpet designers include Ralph & Russo, Gaurav Gupta, Gauri & Nainika and Tommy Hilfiger.
From being on Vanity Fair's list of Hollywood's Next Generation to attending the Oscars after-party, the Met Ball and the 70th Cannes Film Festival, the actor never seems to drop the ball. At the 2016 IIFA awards, Padukone made headlines with her black custom-made Swapnil Shinde. While the plunging neckline added to the sex appeal, the extended net trail made for an arresting look. 2017 saw the actor pushing the envelope even further. From attending the xXx: Return of Xander Cage premiere in a sequinned Naeem Khan gown to the dramatic Gauri & Nainika number she wore for Filmfare Glamour and Style Awards, Padukone's arsenal of gowns has only grown stronger.
In an interview, Padukone's stylist Elizabeth Saltzman revealed "I think she is open to learning and [is] excited [about it], so there are no demands. We work on everything together. The one thing I do ask of her and every client I work with is complete honesty and feedback, which I think is important. Describing her personal style, Saltzman added "I think her style is classic with a twist. She can do sportswear really well, but I like that she looks great even in travel clothes. Her personal style is little bit bodycon, a little edgynot funky-edgy, but interesting.
Padukone has been spotted stepping out in some scene-stealing numbers in 2018 as well. Recently, the actor won the Entertainer of the Year (Female) award at Hello! Hall Of Fame Awards in a white Falguni Shane Peacock outfit and then attended a magazine launch event in a black off-the-shoulder Amit Aggarwal gown.
