I felt very conflicted watching this scene. Irfan really seemed to have been a loving and supportive father to Zara. Him saying that Zara can say 'no' if she wants to and if they have to leave the city for it, he doesn't mind... seemed really encouraging and supporting.

But the ultimate point is Zara is in this situation because he was against her choice in the first place. He should have said this the very first day so that Zara isn't in this difficult situation today. So yes, Zara has a choice but what sort of a choice is this? The choice her father gave her now is too little and too late. Even now I would have supported Irfan if he calls off the wedding himself. But he has put the entire burden on Zara. If Zara says 'no'... she will have to bear the guilt of insulting her parents in front of everyone in the last minute. If she says 'yes', then she will have to live a life of regret and having her choice disrespected. Since this is a story, we know that everything will turn out right but in real life, more often than not, something like this ends up being a lifetime of frustration that affects the marriage and everyone around.

That's why I said that it is a no win scenario for Zara. I do agree with you the circumstances that this marriage is happening in are completely wrong and forced. The good thing is that Irfan recognized his mistake. He acknowledges that they should have said no in the first place but he thought his daughter is just being naive. Also he does assure her that he will stand with her if she says no. Even if his qaziat goes which is sort of him saying other people be damned. Yes Zara has been put in a tight spot but he implores her to follow her heart and if in her heart at the time of the Nikkah Zara feels Kabir is suitable then all is well.

Yeah, it is commendable that Irfan atleast has accepted his mistake and has agreed to support Zara's decision. At this point, it really is up to Zara to stand strong in her stance and make her choice. But I guess that is easier said than done, considering that she is now under an emotional burden.

Yestrrday's epi belomged to Irfan n zara
I loved that makers have shown that women have rights in Islam to choose her partner in a right way. They hv right to refuse parent's choice unlike popular opinion.
Even if Irfan have not given right to refuse to Zara, she wud hv still say yes. Zara and Kabir did make tall claims that they willrefuse but i was sure they wont do that cos they will never humiliate their parents

Irfan said na to Zara that he was foolish to take zara's refusal as childish and hoped that she will agree to marry. Thats where he went wrong-taking her refusal to be childish

Even if Irfan have not said things he did, zara still wud hv said yes cos she will never humiliate her parents. All her claims to say "no" at nikah tym were in frustration
I dont think she wud hv said no

I loved how Zara's father respected Zara's decision... I was happy that there was someone who respected her decision and had no problem even if she says no and their respect in front of others would decrease... He is only concerned about his daughter's happiness...👏 I love their bond...❤️
