Zoya sighed. She looked at herself in the mirror again. It was ridiculous. Why did women wear these short dresses? She would never be comfortable in this. Bella came in the room and looked at Zoya with astonishment.
"You look stunning #wow. Bella said.
"I can't wear this Bella. Please don't make me do this. It looks ridiculous. Zoya argued.
"You have to Zoya. I'm the bride and you have listen to me. Plus you look so hot and you can't wear your indian attire in my bachelorette party. Bella said. "Now tell me how I look. She twirled to show Zoya her dress.
"You look very beautiful Bella. Zoya smiled.
"#Selfie! Bella took out her phone and clicked a selfie.
Zoya looked at herself in the mirror again. She was wearing a black dress which ended on her mid thighs. It was also off-shoulder on one side. Bella bought it for her because she thought Zoya needed to take a break and have fun for once. She sighed again and pulled her dress, desperately hoping to cover her legs somehow.

Zoya was bored. Bella and her friends were all drunk and dancing. She had pulled Zoya a few times with her but she excused herself and stood at the corner.
Zoya suddenly remembered Mahi and went to find her. She had last seen Mahi a few hours ago. How would she return home if Mahi left? After thirty minutes of searching, Mahi was nowhere to be found. Even her car was gone. When Zoya called her, her phone was switched off. She tried calling the home number to reach Mummyji but no one picked up the phone.
"Ya allah, now what? I can't take a cab wearing these clothes. She tried calling Mahi a few more times but didn't get through.
She thought of asking Bella for a ride but she was drunk and she didn't want to go alone with a driver. She looked around to find any girl who wasn't drunk but apparently she was the only one who was worried about reaching home.
"How do I go home now? My clothes were in Mahi's car. Why did she just leave? Zoya thought.
Zoya paced around the venue anxiously. She knew nobody in this town and she had to go home. These clothes and the loud music were making her very uncomfortable. Only luckily there were no guys here, otherwise she wouldn't have been here for so long.
Suddenly a thought came to her mind.
Aditya.
Without thinking any further she dialled his number. Would he even pick up? Even if he does, would he help her? He was constantly trying to make her life hell. But he wasn't that bad. He would help her like he had done in the past.
A voice came from the other side. "Arrey wah Zoya, how did you suddenly remember me? Aditya chuckled.
"Aditya, I need your help.
"Must be really bad if you need my help. Aditya chuckled.
"Seriously Aditya. I was busy with Bella's bachelorette party and Mahi must have left. I don't know how to go home.
"I'll call a cab for you. He'll drop you. Aditya said.
"No. No, please Aditya. I need you to come. Please.
"Zoya have you gone mad? You want me to come at this ungodly hour to pick you up. I'm not your boyfriend or husband. I can send my driver. Aditya said.
"No please Aditya. You know I wouldn't trouble you if it wasn't important. Please come. For once please listen to me.
There was a moment of silence on the phone and Zoya could feel her heart beat increase a million times. She really needed him not to be a jerk right now.
"Fine.
She smiled with relief.

Aditya walked into the party hesitantly. He didn't know why Zoya insisted on him coming, but he knew it was important otherwise she wouldn't have called him. He hated helping her, but somehow he couldn't stop himself from doing it. The music was loud and everyone was dancing. He remembered going to these parties with Pooja in their college days. But he shifted his thoughts and started looking for Zoya.
He walked through the crowd. There was no sign of Zoya. Did she prank him? He walked over to the side and was about to call her when he felt a light tap on his shoulder. He turned around.
Zoya.
"Shukar hai allah ka that you're here. Zoya exclaimed.
Aditya couldn't believe his eyes. She was wearing a short dress. He had never seen her like this. Maybe you weren't hot enough for him' Aditya remembered himself teasing Zoya. Damn, was he wrong. She looked beautiful everyday, but today she was hot, but her innocence and simplicity was somehow still there. How could anyone look so beautiful, innocent and hot all at once?
For once, he was completely mesmerized by her. But her discomfort was clearly noticeable. She was constantly fidgeting with her dress. Her cheeks were red, as she realised Aditya's eyes on her. Aditya moved his gaze.
"Why are you wearing it if you're uncomfortable? Aditya asked.
"I didn't really want to. Bella insisted and I couldn't say no to her. Zoya replied. "My clothes were in Mahi's car and I didn't want to take a cab wearing this so I called you.
Aditya nodded. He was a little surprised that she trusted him, after all he had given her a lot of reasons not to. Now that she did, he needed to get her home safely.
"Aditya what are you doing here? Bella called out. "This is a girls party. Boys are not allowed here.
Aditya smiled. "Arrey I was having my own party at home, when Zoya called me. I didn't want to come but she forced me to.
"Zoya you worry a lot. You should really just let go of everything and have fun. Live your life. She stumbled a little bit but Aditya and Zoya caught her at the same time. "I'm fine. But Aditya, Zoya looks so hot, right?
Het question surprised him. "No.
Bella and Zoya looked at him questioningly. Zoya even looked a little disappointed.
"I mean yes.
Zoya looked shocked.
"I mean she always looks... Damn, this was tricky. How to compliment girls who aren't your wife? Even so when they are your dead wife's boyfriend's wife. How did his life come to this? He decided to take the easier approach. "She looks fine but it's you who looks absolutely beautiful. Enjoy your last moments of being single.
"You both are so cute. Why aren't you both a couple already? Bella pouted.
"Bella you're drunk. You should get some rest before the haldi ceremony tomorrow. Zoya said.
"Fine but Zoya, I totally ship you guys! Saying this she finally went back to her party.
"This girl says anything! Zoya exclaimed.
Aditya did catch the slight blush on her cheeks. She was still fidgeting with her dress. He took off his coat and gave it to Zoya.
"Thanks. Zoya wrote his coat.
She was a little disappointed when she saw a driver driving the car. She didn't want anyone else top see her like this but she was also sure that she was safe while he was with her. The entire car ride was silent but it was a comfortable silence. Both of them were tired and glad that the other were not fighting.
As they reached, Aditya opened her door and walked her to the door. Zoya turned towards him.
"Thanks for coming today. I don't know how would I have reached home otherwise.
Aditya found himself losing ground. "I helped you and therefore you owe me, and don't make this a habit because I won't come the next time. Good night and take care.
Aditya smirked and left. Zoya looked at the coat and smiled. She somehow knew that he would help her next time and the time after that. Their destinies were connected. But only time could tell where they were headed.
