New day and it was time for another ritual. Gauri and Annika were as usual busy in preperations. Half of their time was spent on shouting at the servants to do the work properly and other half was spent in getting everyone's perspective on how they wanted the decorations to be. Everyone was struggling with some internal dilemma or battle between their heart and minds.

Shivaay wasn't getting any time to talk to Annika and whenever he did find her alone, either she wouldn't listen to him or her sister gauri would appear to keep him away from her. He knew it wasn't going to be easy to get her to listen and then convince her of his undying love for her. Annika was like that, she was difficult but more than that her pride was important to her than anything else. He wanted to respect her wishes but honestly, she was being unneccesarily stubborn.

On the other side Annika was constantly facing the dilemma of accepting him and making him work harder for her. It was getting tiring, wherever she went, she found him waiting to talk to her. Thanks to gauri she could get away from him.

Omkara had most of his focus on his art and their plan, which included lying so maybe he wasn't much into it but only into getting shivika together. But since he met gauri his attention has been divided without him acknowledging it, he keeps thinking about her and keeps finding ways to see her. He was starting to think he was going crazy.

Things weren't easier for gauri either. She couldn't see Annika sad; also she was distracted by a certain long haired man. It saddnened her that he was so out of her league, why would he ever like her even if she liked him, maybe.

The plan was to get shivika together but saumya was afraid of her own feelings for rudra, this was supposed to be a drama, a fake marriage but to her, it was starting to feel very real. Even if she tried to tell her mind that it was fake; her heart was taking it very seriously. This was a real problem because there is no way rudra will marry her for real.

Rudra mainly had the most difficulty in deciding what he wants to eat. He only wanted her bhaiya and babhi to be together. The only problem he had; he was trying to ignore it, sometimes he would stare at saumya and his heart would swell with happiness but then he would crash back to earth thinking this was a fake marriage with no strings attached.

Annika was getting suspicious of shivaay because she hadn't seen him all day. As she was taking a basket of flowers she failed to notice shivaay standing in her way and she bumped into him. Shivaay caught her hands which were still holding the basket. "Annika mujhe tumse baat karni hai

Annika sighed "aur mujhe aapse koi baat nhi karni shivaay, hatiye annika tries to go but shivaay stops her, before shivaay can say a word he hears gauri calling for annika. "uhh... ye fir se aa gayi shivaay mutter to himself, annika looks at him wide eyed. She opens her mouth to scold him but her keeps his hand on her mouth and drags her away to hide from gauri.

Gauri comes and leaves but shivaay doesn't release annika. After gauri is out of hearing range shivaay lets her go. Annika was fuming, "aapki himmat kaise hui? Aur kya kaha apne? Fir se aa gyi? Kya matlab hai iska?

"vo humesha aa jati hai jab bhi main tumse baat karta hun aur tumhe leke chali jati hai shivaay explains. "haan toh? Vo behen hai meri uska haq hai before annika can say further, suddenly she finds herself caged between him and the wall. Her heart leaps and starts beating fast "aur mera kya? Mujhe koi haq nahi hai tumse baat karne ka?

Shivaay looks into her eyes with such intensity that annika is left tongue tied and couldn't retort back. "there's a limit to my patience annika, don't test it. tum khudh mujhse baat karne aao ya fir main aunga and I'm not going to follow any rules.

Annika had her hands full otherwise she would have pushed him away. Slowly shivaay backed away. "its your choice annika, main tumhara wait karunga and agar tum nahi ayi toh fir... he leaves it open for her to think about it. "toh kya karenge aap, aap kuch nahi kar saqte saying this she runs away from there leaving him with a smile on his face.

On the other side, things were going very slow for rudra. He wanted to make it faster and so he took matters in his own hands and asked saumya for help. He stood outside omkara's room and saw om going into the bathroom. Taking advantage, rudra gets in and takes away om's paint tubes. He knew that om would go and look for them in the store room where the he keeps the supplies in a cupboard which is specially for him.

Accordingly om goes to look for his paints in the store room, on the other hand saumya picks up a basket and looks for gauri. She finds her decorating a pillar and walks in that direction. "ah.. saumya pretends to be hurt to get gauri's attention.

Gauri sees saumya hurt and quickly comes to her rescue, "ee kya, chiraiyya tumhari shaadi hai, apni hi shaadi mei bhala konsi chiraiyya kaam karti hai, lao do hum rakh dete hain saumya quickly gives the basket to gauri "ye store room mei rakhna hai saumya tells her and gauri leaves.

Now all they had to do was lock them in. "vaise ye bahot hi bekaar plan hai, isse accha hum bade bhaiya aur annika bhabhi ko kamre mein bandh kar dete. Saumya whispers to rudra as they wait for gauri. "tumse kisine pucha kya, vaise bhi main gauri ko o ke saath bandh kar rha hun, atleast vo akele toh nhi hongi, aur vaise bhi tumne vo nahi dekha jo maine dekha. Gauri ke liye o ke dil mein kuch kuch ho raha hai, tum nahi samjhogi. And rudra dismisses her. "shh... gauri di aa rahi hai saumya tells rudra and they look at her going in the store room.

The moment she enters, rudra closes the door quietly and locks it. "ab annika bhabhi ko bhaiya se baat karni hi padegi aur ye jhanp lagane bhi nhi ayegi.

Saumya goes straight to her room and locks it as tears start to fall down her face. As much as she tried, every thing that rudra says to her hurts her deep.

Sometimes she regreted helping them, she felt like she should go far away from him, he has always broken her heart and never understood her feelings. She was a fool to think he had feelings for her, she had thought that distance might bring them closer; that during the year they were away from each other, he would have missed her.

She wipes her tears and decides to be strong. They were her family even if rudra didn't accept their marriage; there were other relations she had with this family.

Annika was thinking about what shivaay said to her earlier.

*FLASH BACK*

"jab tum mere saath nahi thi toh tumhare bracelet ne mera bahot saath diya Annika par ab tum aa gayi ho toh... he says as he takes her wrist in his hand and makes her wear it, touching her everywhere that he could while doing that. He could see how affected Annika was by their intimacy. Shivaay pulls her close by her wrist "mujhe samajh nahi aa raha ki hum kyun lad rahe hain, tum kyun chali gayi? Sab kuch thik tha Annika.

Shivaay looked into her eyes as he waited for her answer but he noticed change in her as her expressions hardened and her body became stiff in his arms.

Annika easily freed herself of his hold "jab samajh aa jaye na tab baat kariyega, aur ek baat aur, main vapis nahi aayi hun. Main yahan bas apna kaam kar rahi hun saying this blank faced, Annika quickly opens the door and leaves before shivaay could react.

Nobody understood why she left. Yes everything was fine after Mrs. Kappor was caught but this marriage with shivaay, it wasn't what he wanted. She knows that he didn't want her to leave but he married her because he was angry at her, not because he liked her. shivaay didn't get that she was giving him a chance at marrying someone he loved, love was important along with trust in your life partner.

And now, after a year that he is in front of her again, he wants her and he is behaving like the tadibaaz he is. She is not a property, she has feelings and he can't take decisions for her.

Gauri asked her why she was not giving him a chance when he was trying to talk to her. she was afraid he would not trust her when some issue came up, like he used to do; because naam khoon and khandaan was everything to him and she didn't have that. Right now he wants what he can not have, it's his pride, he can't let go, he wants her to just accept it.

Their ideals have always clashed and until he understands what she wants, she isn't going to give in.

All the while that annika was thinking this, shivaay watched her from a distance.

She was beautiful but he didn't like that frown on her face. He knew that he was the reason behind it and he hated it. he could see that even f they were in the same room, the distance between them was of miles.

Faisley jo kiye

Raahein judaa kyun ho gayi

Na tu ghalat, na main sahi

Whatever he did, she didn't understand him, his ways might seem full of tadi to her but he was like that. She wasn't giving him a chance to talk, to say what he wants to say and hear her side. How are they going to understand each other if they don't talk?

Shivaay wanted to sit peacefully and talk to her but this time he just followed her as she worked. All he wanted was to be with her. this one year apart was very painful for him and he could only imagine how it was for annika.

Gauri entered the store room and went on to keep the basket down. Suddenly the lights flickered and went off. Gauri got up and quickly turned to get to the door but she bumped into something. She felt a pair of hands steady her, "gauri?

"omkara? gauri asked.

"tum yahan kya kar rhi ho?

"aap yahan kya kar rahe hain?

They both spoke up at the same time. They both looked at each other and out of the blue gauri yelped and hugged him. "kya hua?

"humare pair (leg) par kuch tha, yahan itna andhera ho raha gauri said as she shut her eyes tight and refused to leave him. "gauri hum bahar chalte hain and om takes her to the door but they were unable to open it. gauri knocks on the door and yells for help "koi hai?

"isse koi faida nahi hai, yahan servants bhi bahot kam aate hain, hum kisis ko call karte hain both of them look for their phones but come empty handed. "lagta hai hum phone bahar hi chodh aaye..

"haan main bhi room mein hi chodh aaya

"ab kya kare omkara ji hum bahar kaise jaenge aur humein andar bandh kisne kiya? gauri asks and omkara thinks that he exactly knows who did this, rudra of course, who else could have such an excellent idea.

After that omkara fixes the bulb and they both sit down. No one speaks up for a while. "gauri? Ek baat puchu? om asks her after a while. She nods silently and he continues. "tum toh humesha annika bhabhi ke saath hoti, tumhe toh pata hoga na ki bhabhi shivaay se baat kyun nahi kar rahi?

"hum toh jaante bhi nahi the ki iss ghar se annika di ka kya rishta hai. Unhone hume kuch nahi bataya aur jab humne pucha ki agar sab kuch thik that oh fir vo sab kuch chodh kar kyun gayi toh unhone kaha ki vo bade bhaiya ko ek mauka dena chahti apni marzi se shaadi karne ka. Gauri wasn't finished but om interrupted her.

"shivaay ko koi aur pasand nahi hai om says and gauri nods. "haan hum samajh chuke hai pr di chahti thi ki unki shadi unn dodno ki marzi se ho, isliye nahi ki shadi ho gyi hai toh nibhani padegi

They both sat silent after that. It was weird how things complicated for shivaay and annika, from outside the solution to their problem was quiet simple,they had complicated it on their own which was worse than the real complications.
