Since it's Heena's birthday today 𼳠I decided to give a shot at another ViDiti OS. This time it's Aditi's birthday and Vikrant has some plans.đ

Aditi woke up early in the morning, she was in good spirits today. It was her first birthday in Mumbai and she was very excited about it. She decided not to make a fuss about it and got ready for work. She never wore bright colors at work, but today was the day. She chose a pink shirt and black pants and teamed it up with a black jacket. She opted for light makeup.
As she was having her breakfast, her phone rang. It was her father. As she picked up he started singing,
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to my dear Adu, happy birthday to you!"
"Thanks u so much papa!"
"Aur beta aaj Kya plan Kiya Hai apne Mumbai wale doston ke sath?"
"Abhi Tak to kucch khaas nahi Hai papa. Mei bas aap logonko miss Kar rahi hu."
"Arre aise kaise? Agar ye meeting na hoti aaj to Mei jaroor ata wahan."
"It's okay Papa."
"Chal beta rakhta hu. Tujhe station Jane ke liye der ho rahi hogi, have a nice day aur apna khayal rakhna."
"Thik Hai papa, aap bhi apna khayal rakhna".
Aditi cut the call and as she was leaving she got another call, this time from Suresh Dutt. They exchanged greetings and he wished Aditi for her birthday and suggested she could take a day off as they didn't have any urgent cases as of now. She declined his offer and thanked him. She was excited to go to work today.. or rather meet someone.
At Shaitan chauki, vikrant had come in early. He was waiting anxiously for Aditi near the window. When she got out of her car he could not take her eyes off her. She was looking beautiful in pink, he should tell her, but first he had other things on mind. He went back to his desk and started going through a file. Aditi enters the chauki all happy and smiling.
"Good morning vikrant"
"Good morning Aditi! Aaj mood bohot accha lag raha Hai tumhara." Before she could say something, he continued "Chalo accha Hai, aaj meine decide Kiya Hai ke, since humare pass koi urgent cases nahi hai hum sari purani files scan karenge. Maza ayega Hai na?"
Aditi thought to herself, "Ha.. chal beta Aditi aaj to turn birthday bhooton ke sath hi manana padega." But instead she said, "Haan kyu nahi, vaise bhi bohot purani ho gayi Hai".
She went to her desk and started working, after another 10-20 minutes she checked her phone and smiled at the texts she had received. Vikrant saw this. It was killing him to keep his mouth shut, but he had too. Just to see her reaction he poked at her,
"Kya baat Hai ASP Aditi Sharma, aaj bada pyaar aa raha Hai phone pe. Lagta Hai koi bohot yaad Kar raha Hai."
Aditi was slightly irritated, first of all he didn't remember her birthday and then he had a nerve to tease her. She replied with a frown,
"Jise yaad hona chahiye use to koi fark nahi padta to logon se hi dil khush Kar leti hu."
Vikrant knew this was a direct attack, but he kept quiet and continued his pretending *cough* work. This made Aditi even more furious, she slammed her hands on her desk and got up and went into the evidence room.
"Mei aur files le Kar aati hu."
Vikrant simply nodded at this. It was past lunch time when Aditi came out. Vikrant was not at his desk. She thought "shayad Khana khane Gaya hoga. Chalo thik Hai, thodi Shanti to mili".
As she opened her tiffin, as if on que vikrant entered the station and directly came at her desk, without asking or anything he started eating her tiffin. Aditi sighed at this. This had become a regular occurrence now and she had started packing tiffin for two people. Suddenly vikrant remembered something and he left the room. He came back talking on the phone, giggling.
"Haan, accha Joshi Mei tumhe baad me call karta hu."
Aditi was surprised to see him giggling on phone. So she asked,
"Kya baat Hai vikrant, aaj badi has haske baatein ho rahi Hai Joshi se. Koi joke Hai to mujhe bhi batao."
"Are kuchh nahi, aaj wo Joshi ke wife ka bday Tha to usiki yaad dilane ke liye call Kiya Tha use." Vikrant lied.
Aditi thought, "logonki biwi ka bday yaad rehta Hai aur Mera bday bhool Gaye ACP sahab.. are mein aisa kyu soch rahi hu.. mei na hi vikrant ki biwi hu na girlfriend." She brushed the thought aside and resumed her work. Vikrant could see the anger clearly on her face, but he was enjoying it now.
It was almost 8pm when she decided to call it a night. When she was getting up to leave, vikrant came running and told her they had an urgent case and they had to leave right away. The got into the car and vikrant started driving.
When they reached a abandoned road, vikrant prayed in his mind, "Sirf aaj ke ek din ke liye Aditi ko mat dikhna atmao sirf aaj ka din mere liye chhod do bas." He slammed the brakes to his car. And it stopped immediately. Aditi was surprised, she turned towards vikrant and asked what happened.
"Kya hua car kaise band ho gayi?"
"Pata nahi Aditi, tum car me hi ruko Mei dekhta hu."
He got out of the car, he went in the front and opened the hood. Aditi was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't realize him going around the car at the back. After a while when she didn't hear anything from him she got out to check. She checked the front, the car was open but he was nowhere to be seen. It was dark and lonely street and to be honest she was a bit scared. Out of all the places she could be, she didn't want to be here.
She went around looking for him,
"Vikrant? Kahan ho? Dekho ye mazak ka waqt nahi Hai. Jaldi seebahar niklo."
Just as she was about to turned, vikrant jumped in front of her wearing a birthday cap and a blowout whistle in his mouth. He blew it loudly in Aditi's face. Aditi was so scared of the sudden noise that she screamed at once and closed her eyes. Vikrant immediately dropped the whistle and trying soothing her, he held her by shoulders,
"Shh.. Aditi Mei hu, apni aankhein kholo Aditi, daro mat, I'm so sorry."
Aditi opens her eyes and hugs him tightly,
"Vikrant.."
Vikrant returns the hug, "Arre mujhe nahi pata tha atmao see baat karnewali ASP Aditi ek chhotese mazak se darr jaengi."
Aditi lifts her head to look at vikrant who was smiling at her, "Aisa ganda mazak kabhi mat karna mere sath. Pata Hai Mei kitna darr gayi thi. Mujhe laga meine firse kho Diya tumhe."
"Thik Hai baba, aap ka hukum sar aankhon pe."
Vikrant and Aditi were still in each other's arms. And Aditi knew, this is just where she needed to be. There was nowhere else she wanted to be. Vikrant thought Aditi fitted perfectly in his arms.
Suddenly he broke the silence, "accha suno ek baat bolni thi.."
"Hmm..."
"Happy Birthday".. Aditi smiled into vikrants shirt and snuggled closer.
