This is strictly wrt movies..acclaim..and BO

not endorsements or stardom in general

While Aish and Madhuri despite being huge stars could not strike a similar cord with comebacks as all their movies as leads tanked badly..

karisma had a disastrous comeback with rather embarrassing movies

preity tried with ishq in paris and we all saw what happened there

the only 2 actresses who really struck a cord with movies in their comeback in recent times be Sridevi followed by Rani

one cannot help but notice how rani now has 2 back to back successes as comebacks in movies solely led by the female protagonist..mardani (semi-hit) followed by hichki (hit) and that is quite an achievement..

Did you forget about Kajol? Her comeback movie Fanaa was big hit in 2006.

Umm i think she's talking about films riding on the female lead's shoulder...all Kajol comback films had Khan's or devgan ...her movie with a non star male lead we are family is a disaster

Kajol obviously is no.1 when it comes to ruling in comebacks but she made one as before as 2006 and has been doing so since then..

so.this was more recent..as in 2012 onwards..

And sridevi and Rani are each other's favs too..Rani is her student ..and incidentally both married married/divorced/producers ..

This decade Rani has made some awesome choices ..including the flop aiyyaa which is a niche favourite..

Our letter reached her recently and it has my name on top of the list ..huhu

It's not fair to put Sridevi and Rani in the same bracket..Rani's name isn't drawing scripts to her, it is her husband's production house owing to which she has infinity options to choose from..All rani's movies at later phase of her career were flops and she just faded away, had it not been her own production house I doubt she would have gotten movies like mardani and hitchki..With Aishwarya it was her bad script sense followed by bad acting , bad direction and bad everything😕

But y husbands own film was flop ?😆 if he has d power to mk every film of his production house hit then y r so many of his films flop ...

Logic just died a silent death ..

Give credit where it's due ..if she faded away then both mardaani and hichki would not HV opened at 3 cr plus while many other female centric films of the current so called in ppl get below 3 cr opening
